Great little sub shop located on a side street down Lake Ave. Their simplistic approach to menu options and sourcing of great quality ingredients makes for a unique experience not soon forgotten. I tried "The Big Easy" sandwich, which was a perfectly balanced portion of impeccably toasted, fresh, locally baked hogie roll from Delray's Old Skool Bakery, and salty savory Italian cold cuts with olive dressing. The Hillbilly Raspberry Iced Tea, sourced from a semi-local company out of Plantation was not overly sweet, had the nice zing of raspberry flavor, and sported a short ingredients of tea, water, and sugar. Exactly what you want in your drink: only words you can pronounce! The service was very friendly, and it's evident the owners are passionate about their business and about serving great food. The only drawback is extremely limited seating of one outdoor table, an indoor table, and a window facing high top seating for maybe 3-4 persons max. I definitely want to try them again and would recommend that sandwich. FYI, they have a points club which you can collect and redeem for discounts,...
Read moreNo picture because every little bit is gone! Mmm good! … So I’ve been a fan since they’ve opened and until now my favorite has been Wednesday meatballs because they use local chef Mamma Gizzi to source them. (And they are delectable). But I have to say (I can’t believe I’m saying this because they’re yummy ) the meatballs have been toppled to a very close 2nd by the newest sandwich I’ve tried… The Big Easy. It’s kind of like an Italian with a kick, toasty crunchy fresh locally sourced sub roll overloaded with all of the hand cut meats and then topped with a sort of roughly chopped olive/pepper Tapenade, and dressed with some sort of tasty dressing I haven’t quite figured out… Very reminiscent of the great Muffalettas of New Orleans but a lot easier to eat! Yes stop on by! And you can call in your order ahead and they’ll have it ready for you when you walk...
Read moreHands down, absolutely the BEST sub I’ve had in YEARS. I wasn’t terribly hungry, so I got the 8” (can’t remember the name) yard bird, or dirty bird BBQ sub and it was TO DIE FOR. I wish I lived closer, because I could eat these almost every day. The bread, meat, sauce, and pickles made for the PERFECT combo. Like I said, I went there not too hungry, and once I demolished this sub I only wanted more. No clue how else to tell you, but sitting there that day - it was the perfect sub sandwich. A+++ Whenever I’m back in that area I’ll go out of my way to get it again, thank you. We spoke briefly to who I can only assume were the owners and they were extremely nice people. Great shop, INCREDIBLE FOOD, made...
