I remember when Arizola’s was the pride of Lake Worth. Back in the early 2000s and well into the next decade, it was the place to eat & specifically have a margarita with friends. Packed at all hours, consistently great food, friendly service, and an atmosphere that made you want to stay. We especially enjoyed visiting when they offered breakfast; those early morning meals were a highlight, and the food was still good.
But those days are long gone.
Now, when I drive by, the parking lot sits nearly empty. It’s hard to believe it’s the same place that used to be lined with cars and patrons.
One specific defining visit for me was nearly a decade ago, but it really set the tone for how the service and care had shifted. During what was supposed to be a quick, familiar dinner, I found a long hair in my food. Disgusted but understanding that things happen, I sent it back. When the replacement arrived, I took one bite and nearly cracked a tooth on a small piece of metal buried in my taco. When I flagged down the waitress and who I assumed was the manager, his response was dismissive at best, casually mentioning it was probably from the meat strainer, as if that should somehow make it okay. To be noted: The waitress did give us the corporate number and was extremely apologetic. The manager was not. He seemed like I was bothering him with my concerns.
We paid and left because, clearly, the management team had no longer cared.
The next day, I reached out to "Corporate" to express my concern and was dismissed just the same as I had been in the restaurant. This prompted me to no longer visit Arizola’s.
Years later, against my better judgment, I gave them another shot, then another. Each time, another disappointment: flavorless, poorly presented food that looked like it was slopped together with zero pride. The interior had not changed, and the atmosphere felt lifeless.
What once made definded Arizola’s completely vanished long ago, and what remains is an unrecognizable shell of its...
Read moreThis was a total disappointment. Me and my family were going to go to Gloria's Mexican resturaunt but decided to try something in the area. This place had 4.3 stars, good reviews on the taste service and cleanliness of the store. The only bad review was someone received something that wasn't ordered. Upon entering we waited about 10 mins for someone to acknowledge us. A few servers walked by and just looked at us and looked away. We were seated by a young man with braids and he quickly got us a high hair and our drinks. He also brought chips and salsa. Our server took about 10-15 minutes to greet us and take our order. It was a pregnant blonde lady. She didn't introduce herself or anything which is why I can't give her name. She then took our order and rushed to take a bigger parties order who were seated right after she took our order. We waited about 30 mins for our food to come. Our waitress never came by our table to refill drinks ask if we were okay or updated us on how much longer our food would be. When our food finally came it was barely warm like it had been sitting. The beans were hardened on top, and the queso had already became a solid. To top it off, after she had placed our food down, she walked away to talk to the bigger table, and rushed their food out. It was very dissapointing. We needed refills on our drinks, sour cream and more salsa. She then came back just to drop off the check. Not only was the service bad but the food was practically tasteless. The rice had no flavor, neither did the enchiladas or beans. Not sure how they received such reviews, but I would highly recommend Uncle julios or Gloria's over this place any day. It was a very dissapointing visit. If I could rate a 0...

I’ve lived in SW Arlington for two years now and are yet to find a decent Mexicanrestaurant. What a shame. Everythingbigger in Texas, even the disappointment. lol
This weekend we had family in town from Kansas City and decided to try somewhere new for lunch…It’s a Sunday afternoon about 2:30pm. We ended up at Arizolas. We were offered a table right away. On the way to the table, when I glanced down they short hallway to the kitchen, I noticed carts or tables with dirty dishes STACKED/PILED on them. That might explain the smell when we walked in the restaurant. Yikes. Once we took the short walk to other dining room, I pulled the table out from the wall about 5” (so the two people that end up sitting next to the wall didn’t bump their elbows on the wall) since it was going to be a tight fit for 8 adults. We quickly selected our individual seats around the table, and I think the server may have been about to take our drink order, but my daughter stood up from her seat next to the wall and pointed to the two roaches dancing around trying to find a new place to chill since I moved the table out from the wall. Needless to say we all got up and headed...
