I chose to go to Wendy's for dinner this evening, because my son likes the burgers, and we both like the chili. I ordered on the mobile app as I arrived. I ordered 2 meals, a frosty, and a small chili. I pull around to the speaker, and announce my arrival, and I am told to pull around to the window. I wait for a few minutes, then the girl at the window asks me for payment. I told her that I had placed a mobile order, and had already paid. She says, oh, ok. Honest mistake. I wait a few minutes longer, the woman hands me my order, and I ask for some extra chili sauce, noting that often I come and they forget to put the sauce in the bag. She hands me 4 packets of chili sauce, and proceeds to tell me to have a nice day. I thank her and drive home. When I get home, I look into the bag, looking at my items, searching frantically for the one thing that I had really wanted. Upon realizing my chili had been left out of the bag, I think, surely they just made a mistake, and perhaps the chili did not make it into the bag. I call the store to inform the workers that I had not received my chili. The woman answers the phone, and listens to my inquiry, and then launches into a tirade about how they were out of chili, and it isn't their fault that they don't have the product for a mobile order. She then tells me she is making a fresh batch, and I can come back to the store and pick it up. I decline, and ask if she can just refund my payment. She says that she can, but that I would still need to come back to the store to get it. I ask why I wasn't told at some point while I was at the store that they were out of chili. She says completely unapologetically and seemingly annoyed that I had called to have this conversation in the first place, "No, I didn't tell you, sorry." Now I have to decide if the cost of the chili is worth the price of fuel and time for the trip back to the store. Someone could have told me when I arrived at the speaker. Someone could have told me as I waited at the window. Someone could have told me when I ASKED FOR EXTRA CHILI SAUCE. Absolutely no consideration for customers time, or expense. I had a choice. I chose to go there. Next time I won't. The burgers were good, the fries were cold and stale. The service was also cold, and stale. Overall, disappointing. Will not go back to...

Well despite enough time when I went inside it still wasnât ready despite the restaurant literally being empty. So I decided Iâd go to the restroom while I waited. When I went in the restroom there was a take out bag full of plastic ware on the counter. Maybe 15-20 forks and spoons. Gross but I thought since it was obviously trash I should take them and wash them to donate to an organization I work with that delivers meals to homeless people. I waited another 10 minutes and got my food. After I was in my car and about to drive away a young white male (maybe 20) chased me down and said I needed give back the plastic ware. I calmly explained the circumstances of it being in the bathroom and my plan to recoup the situation to help others. Unphased, he said said a worker accidentally left them in there on their cleaning duty and I needed to give them back as they only had so many per day they were allowed to stock. (Note to add this was an interesting explanation since the bathroom did not look freshly attended to).
I explained they were in the bathroom and they shouldnât be used without cleaning and it didnât seem to matter. I handed him the bag and watched thru the window as he literally stocked them after 1.) being in bathroom 2.) being taken out of the restaurant 3.) in a persons car!
If thatâs how they feel about disposable plastic ware imagine how they might feel about spoiling food or things dropped on the floor etcâŚ. Needless to say I did not eat my order but I did give it away to a guy at the racetrac gas station in the same parking lot after telling him I could eat it cuz the restaurant was dirty. He didnât care and was happy to have it.
Not only will I not eat at this Wendyâs again I wonât eat at any since they have rules about how many things each shift gets etc⌠you know this is happening elsewhere. I donât expect any fast food joint to be completely clean etc but using plastic ware thatâs been chased down seems way too...
Read moreThis was one of my sons favorite place to eat till yesterday. We went by drive thru ordered a hamburger no cheese and bacon waited 30 mns in line received the burger and it had cheese. How specific can you be when you ask for a hamburger with no cheese and the drive thru tells you there is no cheese on a hamburger? Im meticulous cause my sons allergic to cheese. After I returned the first burger got a second burger had cheese as well. I reminded the associate no cheese my sons allergic please. He goes and get me another burger which is the third one this time I open it and see cheese smack in the middle melting nicely on the warm burger that I returned and they removed cheese thinking that they had done there due diligence in giving me my order. I handed the sandwich back in disbelief and told the associate my son could die why would you guys remove the cheese? Why not give me the order I asked he was insisting that the cheese was not on burger meanwhile I had two other adults " grandparents" in car shocked because they would so such a thing and have no remorse. Wendy's at this location think it's ok to do such callus things my son is only 5 you could've cause him to go to the hospital you could've cost him his life. He is not lactose intolerant he's allergic and until yesterday we have been eating Wendy's and we had never had an issue with the establishment accommodating my sons allergy. When any customer goes to your establishment they are trusting you to handle there food with care not they way it was handled yesterday. I gracefully asked for my refund and sadly had to break the news to my son in the backseat meanwhile the drive thru associate handed me my money with no remorse no care and treated me like I was a disgruntled customer. I didn't mistreat the employee or yelled. I was saddened more so for my son and his disappointment not fully grasping he could've went to the hospital. Please educate and train your employees on allergy awareness it can...
