Red's Savoy Pizza — Restaurant in Lakeville

With three children that are picky eaters we finally found our pizza EVERYONE loves. My teenage son said it’s the best pizza that he’s ever eaten, my youngest one started calling dibs on all pieces with crust on it, and my middle child was too busy inhaling it that he hasn’t made a sound. My husband and I both loved it and definitely should have ordered a third pizza because we could have eaten it. The pizzas were ready within 30 minutes of ordering, all employees were friendly and the pricing was more than reasonable at around $15 per Large pizza. The original Red Savoys stood strong and survived a terrible location to become in my opinion an iconic Twin Cities pizza joint. The character of the place as well as the characters that worked, ate and hung out there made it unique. Thats a memory now and non of the ‘cookie cutter’ Red Savoys around the metro come close to matching the original. It’s basically fast food pizza now or maybe a higher end frozen pizza. From add water and mix store fronts and IFfy locations they don’t give me much reason to remember their an option for Pizza in some areas. 6/2/2022 Typically, I don't write reviews but this felt appropriate to praise. I work directly down the hill from this location and tend to go here for lunch quite often. I place my order for carryout and go about my day. Today was what could've been a frustrating day got turned spectacular. I placed my carryout order and got immediately blitzed at work. I worried I was going to be unable to get lunch. Just as I was finishing up the guys up at Savoy's call me and without hesitation ask if they want to remake my lunch. I am so appreciative of the service I was given by the two gents that were working. Rockstar customer service. Appreciate the Lakeville crew and will for sure keep coming...
