Tomahawk Steakhouse — Restaurant in Lakewood Township

I’m just gonna say flat out this place is terrible. It doesn’t live up to the price you’re gonna pay or what you expect in such a high class restaurant … when you’re aiming for the top, you have to have good service and good food and a good atmosphere now the atmosphere is not bad but the service was poor. They were nowhere near attentive as they should be. It took me forever to get my utensils and a drink and that’s not because there not fast at making one. It’s just they take forever to come back to you ,to take your order… the the stake here was nothing special and for $160. It should be ,moving onto the desert. There is no dairy in this restaurant. We ordered the tiramisu and I swear to you it was one of the worst things I ever eaten in a restaurant The waiter did realize we only took a bite out of it and it’s the first time instead of asking for my money back. I just asked for the check. my wife said we should bring it home for the kids. I told her I wouldn’t put them through that. I’m not trying to be mean I’m just being truthful. There was one thing I did enjoy and it was the Capacio very well put together and tasted absolutely amazing. Last night's visit to Tomohawk in Lakewood was an absolute delight. The ambiance exuded class and charm, creating a wonderful vibe that set the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The sushi journey began with the Ari roll and Ash roll, both reaching unparalleled heights of flavor and freshness. The Tuna Tar Tar followed suit, delivering an amazing taste experience. While the short rib risotto proved to be great, a touch more flavor could elevate the dish further. The entree, the duck fingerlings, surpassed expectations, standing out as the best duck dish I've ever savored. The potato wedgies I experienced together with the entree were a culinary delight! Was busy but waiters did a pretty good job handling it. Food came out pretty quickly.

Food was ok. The tomahawk steak was delicious perfect 10/10. Lamb chops was 7/10. I have never sent a steak back to the kitchen but I tried here... Ordered the 22oz rib medium. The thinner side was well done and the center was a medium well and thick edge was medium. Tried sending it back to kitchen and manager said “this is a medium”. Wasn’t going to argue with him... Real issue was it was it wasn’t butchered properly. Manager then realized I was disappointed and offered me a new one but said it would be the same issue.... I turned him down saying no need to cook me another if it will be the same. Surprisingly 15 min later a waiter arrives with a new steak. Party was finishing up so I asked to pack it to go.
