Aladdin's Eatery Lakewood — Restaurant in Lakewood

I usually go to a different Aladdin’s location, and it had been a while since my last visit, so I pointed to a dish that sounded familiar, Jasmine’s Platter with Mishwi Chicken. The server brought out the Mishwi Salad instead, and when I asked if the rice was under the salad, we realized there had been a mix-up. She brought the menu over and confirmed that I had pointed at Jasmine’s Platter. While I originally had a different dish in mind, I was fine sticking with the Jasmine’s Platter.

She offered to bring a side of rice (which comes with the platter anyway), but said it would be an extra charge, which confused me, but I agreed. When the check came, I was charged for both the Mishwi Salad and the side of rice, which ended up costing more than the Jasmine’s Platter I had actually ordered and eaten. I politely asked if the check could be adjusted to reflect what I ordered. The server responded with, “I’m going to have my manager explain it to you.” I won’t try to summarize the tone, but it felt as if I was being a "problem customer".

The food was excellent and I really appreciated the manager Katie’s professionalism in handling the situation. The server also recommended the mint tea which was great! But I left feeling a uncomfortable by how the server handle for simply asking to have the bill reflect what I actually ordered. I’ll likely stick to my usual location...

The restaurant was not busy at all when we went everyone was given their dinner except my son who ordered a spicy kafta roll we all completed our meal he still did not receive his food I asked the server she said oh our pick up orders were crazy so that's why his food took so long by the time they brought it we were all ready to leave so he boxed it this server was training a new employee our table was full of dishes that we stacked and literally had to ask for someone to remove them .The service was horrible and the manager never once came to our table about my sons order .This was by far the worst dining experience I have had in a very long time not to mention the food was inconsistant we ordered a small dolmas then a large the first came out delicious the 2nd came out super dry and you could tell it was heated in a microwave this place is over priced the service was terrible and the food tastes awful Aladdins used to be a super place I dont know if the cooks are diffrent but it needs new staff and a...

Gotten very stingy on the portions, prices have risen too high!

I've always loved the food at Aladdin's. I have some favorites on the menu and used to have their food several times a month. But I've cut back, due to their increased prices and smaller portions. My biggest complaint is with the pitas. But I decided to order from them last night after not having Aladdin's for several months. I ordered a regular sized appetizer that comes with pita and a dinner plate that comes with pita. What did I get for pitas? One whole pita! I a;so miss the days when they would cut them - so this is all very disappointing to me. They never charged for extra pita until recently, and now they don't even provide enough pita to go with the food ordered. I will find other restaurants that appreciate their returning customers instead of ones that nickel and dime them when they order their favorite foods. So...
