Del Taco — Restaurant in Lakewood

UPDATE: from 1star to 5 star. there is a whole new crew here. my guess is the old ones are in jail? (see below, or don't, it's history). the new crew had a good training cross over. I dont know if this location has a new franchise owner or what, but they seriously turned around. the food is consistent, and a fair portion now. tacos are fuller over all, and less bags with a few huge tacos but a few tiny ones too. the consistency is nine now. the food quality seems to have improved somewhat too. fresh. the employees here really make a difference now. they are friendly every every every time. they are so quick you wonder how it happened some times. even when this place wasn't great I would eat here sometimes on a budget. now I eat here every Tuesday and some Thursdays and always look forward to it.

BE SURE TO GET YOUR RECEIPT. the employees at this location will say "it's in the bottom of the bag" or blame taco Tuesday rush, if you ask for your receipt. This is because they run up-charge scams to split.

Due to multiple issues with a familiar face, I was at this location late after a long days work, just wanted some deluxe chili cheese fries... So I make my order come around to the front the young lady (who just so happened to have been the last time this had happened) I get my food, drove home and didn't think to check my order due to its simplicity... I get home to find a box with soggy fries with naught but ground beef (not chili just ground beef) and cheese sprinkled on top.... Now I very much enjoy Del Taco for a quick bite to eat... I called the location requesting to get a number for a manager or something of the like and was offered to speak to the woman working there as she was a manager... I find it very disappointing that one of my favorite fast food chains would offer such a poor substitute for a obsurdly basic food item is frankly just sad, it really is... I will not be returning to this location going forward and will be seeking to speak with and...

My grand babies are sensitive with food and I order nachos with no green sauce, gave me green sauce on it anyways so he refused to eat it, the chips were stale when I tried them. The bean and cheese, tortilla was old and hard, the Ana are not even cooked, wth!, so my other grandson refused to eat it as well. I tried to give them my French fries and lo and behold they tasted like they were under the heat lamp for hours and they refused to eat them as they tasted old. The burrito they handed me had the beef all over and when I said something about it I got attitude from two of the employees but they remade the burrito. Very disappointed with paying out money for old food and not removing the green sauce on the nachos, would’ve taken plain shredded cheese if they asked. Just didn’t have the money to throw away!
