Cons none really we got one report that the day-of coordinator and another vendor had a bit of a spiff
Explainations
Our wedding was the seventh of July 2019, and honestly the staff at Baldoria made our whole wedding amazing. Whilst I am a super organised and generally laid back when things feel organised, as a bride, I couldn't be in charge and organising everything and everyone day of.
pros
I'll start at the beginning. Linda originally was our day-of lead for the big day. She made picking linens and food and everything a breeze. Unfortunately and fortunately, she gave birth the day before (I think?) our wedding! So, a few weeks prior Tabitha took over the role. She was super communicative and helped set up (with hay fever and everything [and we didn't even know until after that she was suffering]). Additionally, all the wait and bar staff were so incredibly kind and helpful throughout the entire night. I didn't hear a single bad things fro any of my guests that had to do with their treatment or experience.
2.-3. Something we did hear from nearly everyone we spoke to was how dang amazing the food was. And it wasn't the typical polite compliment - they were asking if they had recipe books and such. So, must have been good. As for me, the bride, I'm vegan. But as one of the only vegans at the entire wedding, we didn't want an entirely vegan wedding, so the cooks just made me a plate of some of the most amazing mushroom, kale, something puree stuff that I had ever had. It was amazing. Additionally, we had quite a few gluten free folks in the family, and the chefs and staff were super helpful in helping us pick a general meal that was gluten friendly.
After the wedding, we were obviously exhausted, and since there were no weddings the next day, the crew at Baldoria allowed us to pick it all up the next day. They were super flexible.
Finally, we super appreciated that we could do flexible and incremental payments for the final tally. 100 bucks here and 100 bucks there helped us budget and stay in the positive throughout the whole process.
cons 1.-2. We personally don't have any complaints. We had a great experience, but we heard reports that some of the other vendors we hired may not have had the same experience when dealing with Baldoria. We only heard of one occurrence, but it might be good to check with vendors just to make sure it's all good...
Read moreMy name is Jordan, We had our wedding here last week and the venue itself was great, the bartenders were fantastic and overall it was perfect. The reason I’m giving it a 1 star is because we had many issues with the planning from the start. The original wedding planner got fired half way through, we didn’t hear from them for months. Than a new wedding planner named Tabitha took over. At first we had no problems, than we ran into multiple miss communications and late responses. The worst part is, at the actual wedding she was completely rude or not around. My wife said she needed help with a lot of things including fluffing the dress which her father ended up doing, lights were left completely on half way through the dancing, DJ had to pull the cake off the dance floor (completely recommend DJ connection), she focused a lot of her attention on a flood in the entry way which other staff could have done, she came up to us halfway through pictures and said “your ceremony is set,” in a horrible attitude than we look and it’s not at all how we planned and if it wasn’t for our DJ and photographer it could have been a disaster! (Beau Blackburn from blue spruce photography) We had to change some things last minute which usually happens at a wedding. She responded by telling me to “run my own rehearsal because we changed plans.” Me being the groom I literally did my own run through and coordinated everything from that point forward while she gave everyone attitude. We also had a simple request to clean up the goose poop on the outdoor patio which she denied because of health issues. She was no where to be found until the end of the night when she said goodbye. Come on guys we paid way to much money to have all this happen on the day. I hope you take this review seriously and change some things. Update: Because Tabitha Refused to go outside to get the rented silk flowers off the “arch” they were destroyed and we just got charged an extra $250! Update: Tabitha graciously refunded us some money for our actual final count which we appreciate so I will give the venue 3 stars for being...
Read morePrepare for my endless rave of this venue!l. We could not speak higher of Baldoria on the Water and Sydney Valentino our liasion/coordinator there for our wedding! Sydney was always experienced, communicative and attentive to my many randomly timed messages, despite being so busy with many other events! The venue is all encompassing with decor and services while being so unassuming on the outside. You would never dream this existed in the city. The European Winery vibe was everything I loved in CO, from the wooden and brass doors to stone walls and small garden pathway, you feel transported. They have all kinds of decorative walls with lights, lit signs, florals, and greenery! Patio, indoor/outdoor bar, accessible atrium, fireplace, floor to ceiling windows, stocked & private getting ready suites, you name it! Even the bathrooms felt elevated! My only requirement when looking for a venue was a beautiful water feature. I was locked in on Baldoria's massive pond that was gorgeous and lit at night with a stunning fountain in the middle! The venue was also open to any of the wild ideas I had, including floating lanterns or including my cat in our ceremony. Forever grateful to them for making our day so magical, and would not hesitate to return to again! Anytime we visited we also got our names broadcasted with Welcome on the large main screen and recieved such a sweet card from Sydney. Mamosas, fruit and cheeses day of in the suites, all of the small touches that make you feel cared for. Above and beyond, especially for trying to plan all the way from CA! Endless thanks from our special day!
Love, The New Hays' (Emily & Ryan)
P.s. We got SO many compliments on our food through their catering A Perfect Bite! Tons of choices and perfect for our tastes! Shout out to the kitchen staff and those who helped package our leftovers for the end...
