I’ve been coming to Dickie’s Barbecue with my older brother for as long as I can remember—and it’s always been one of our favorite places. The food here is seriously next level. The meats are always juicy and packed with flavor, and the different sauces they have make it even better. We’ve made it a tradition to come here, and it never gets old. One of the best parts? The ice cream machine. It’s been a go-to treat for us after every meal, and it just makes the whole experience even better. Also, I’ve got to give a big shoutout to Ruby. He’s always here, working hard, greeting everyone with a smile, and making the place feel welcoming. He’s a great guy and deserves a lot of credit. If you haven’t been to Dickie’s yet, you’re seriously missing out. My brother and I have been coming here for years, and we recommend it to everyone. It’s just that good.

I’ve been coming to Dick’s Barbecue Pit for years, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently incredible – smoky, tender, and packed with flavor. You can taste the care in every bite. From the brisket to the sausage to the perfectly seasoned sides, everything hits the mark. What really sets this place apart is the atmosphere. It’s got that authentic, no-frills charm that makes you feel right at home. The staff is always friendly and welcoming – they treat regulars like family. Whether I’m stopping in for a quick bite or bringing friends for a laid-back meal, Dick’s is always the go-to. It’s a staple in my life, and I genuinely love this place.

Well, my expectations were open when we needed to use a gift card here since I hadn't been. They soon plummeted when I watched the chicken fried steak go from the freezer to the deep fryer. That wasn't too bad until cut into, not a steak but a formed-from-parts patty. And why are the loaded mashed potatoes oxidizing before our eyes? Gross. The sides weren't any better. The beans can't even compete with a can of Van de Camps pork and beans hahaha. The best part of the meal was the coleslaw but unfortunately that in itself doesn't make a meal.

So, my very pregnant wife is having a serious craving for bbq. If you know the slightest thing about pregnant women you'll know why this is important. She's been having trouble getting enough to eat because of nausea and loss of appetite so when she found something that sounded good to her it was a pretty big deal. She orders the food with specific instructions to include all the different bbq sauces just to make sure she got everything just the way she wanted. She is stoked!! The food arrives from the delivery service and almost everything is wrong. No baked beans, chicken instead of pork (she can't stand chicken right now) lemonade instead of tea and NO FREAKING BBQ SAUCE!! She calls me while I'm at work bawling because she was so excited and is now crushed. Refuses to touch a single piece of the meal. I try calling the store and after about 7 attempts I actually get thru to someone who basically told me where to stick my complaint.

Fast forward to the next day I visit the store to talk to someone about it. Now keep in mind I didn't rush to the counter and demand satisfaction. I waited calmly in line with the order in hand and asked politely if I could talk to someone about a mistake with my order. The lady I talked to was absolutely steadfast in her unwillingness to take any ownership or help in any way. It's not like I came in empty handed asking for a handout... I had the mistake boxed and untouched in hand. Even though the food in the box didn't match what was on the receipt she refused to admit that they gave me the wrong food. Even though the number I called was for the stores location she refused to admit I ever called their store the night before and so on...nothing could possibly be their fault. At this point we are arguing over the counter In front of an entire store full of customers, during a packed lunch rush, as if this meal is coming out of her paycheck. Instead of just helping me she calls her manager who is at home but "lives close" and will arrive to deal with me which I don't have time for. At this point I am livid. I am seconds away from throwing this sad plate of dry, bbq sauceless meats at her stupid face. This Hispanic dude working the first station sees this and jumps in. In 5 seconds he has the order corrected and bagged and avoided a huge scene by simply showing a small amount of human compassion. Thank you to the guy who helped me. And to the sad mid 40's woman with the stick up her ass; GFY! Never...

My wife and two young kids went in this morning to pick up an online order. When they arrived at the time they selected online (12:15), they were told the order was almost ready. Ten minutes later, she checked in again and was told it was "about to go in". After waiting for thirty minutes, the order was given to her with a kids meal missing and two sides missing. It came with burnt bread and cold meat. During their time in the restaurant, the television was on a Spanish network with a ton of violence and blood to the point that our five year old was hiding under the table. After being rudely given our food, she left with our kids because they were starving. After getting home, she tried calling the store to speak with the manager. The manager was horribly rude on the phone. They told her they didn't believe her story, and that they would have to "look at the tapes" to prove she wasn't lying. My wife told him that's fine. Then, she was told they could not offer any refund or apologies because they "aren't connected to online orders." I have worked in the service industry and have never seen service quite as bad as this, especially from management.

Edit in response to reply: I would much rather have the information of a district manager or regional manager than email a social media team. If you have info that would be awesome. Thanks!

2nd Edit: it has now been three weeks since the review. I have had four back and forth emails with the social media team telling me someone would reach out about the situation. But still no word from the restaurant or...

I just ordered from wing boss on DoorDash and I found out that dickey’s barbecue pit has the same phone number and address as wing boss, interesting. The bag they gave me from Wing Boss was a Dickey’s Barbecue Pit bag so that’s how I found out about them having the same exact address and phone number. Well, I’m very upset because the food I got was completely raw. 🤢

I didn’t even get the Cajun fries that I had ordered but that wasn’t the worst of it, the worst was the fact that my chicken tenders I got were completely raw. I’ve never had any restaurant ever send me raw chicken/food before. I’m absolutely disgusted that they sent me raw food.

I’m worried I might get sick now because before I knew it was raw, I took a bite of it with my buffalo sauce I had ordered with it and then I realized it was raw. So I ripped open the rest of the chicken tenders and they were all raw in the middle. Pink, rubbery, slimy, uncooked and gross.

I tried to call them to let them know that whoever is cooking the chicken is not cooking them well enough and could get people extremely sick but they didn’t answer their phone. I’m just so upset. I spent money on gross, raw chicken. And now I’m worried I might get...
