Wake Up Espresso — Restaurant in Lakewood

My favorite coffee stand in town for so many reasons! I’d much rather support a local business so we take our business here as often as possible— customer service is always great although when they are busy they can be a bit slow since there’s usually only one person manning the stand. The drinks are so good! There’s a whole menu with creative drink options if you’re into flavored energy drinks and they also always have new and exciting specials posted on the windows with super cute art, too! You can tell they genuinely enjoy their jobs and getting to create new drinks. I also feel, price wise, drinks here are much more fair than some other stands in the area and they still do punch cards which I love.

Their blended coffee is super smooth and yummy. My go-to is a blended white chocolate caramel mocha.

Their energy drinks are delicious and they carry lotus, rockstar and Red Bull and have TONS of flavor options. We usually try a new one every time because there are SO MANY.

They also have matcha and the strawberries and cream matcha is amazing! The cold foam is my favorite part 🤫

Had a literal nightmare experience this morning which I'm sure can't be completely indicitive of the quality of service or product this business produces but I certainly won't ever be coming back.

We waited in line watching the barista chat in the window for 10 minutes to the individual in front of us. Cars behind us pulled around to the other side of the building and were served and left before we were greeted.

With previous experience as a barista I feel confident in saying that the expresso used in our plain lattes was burnt and made our drinks wildy bitter and unenjoyable.

Wake Up Espresso is an iconic Lakewood landmark right across the street from Clover Park High School. I've been going there for years now and have always enjoyed their coffee and friendly customer service.

They feature gourmet coffee from Poverty Bay and also sell the brand via their weekly in store order. talk to your barista for details. my go to order is typically and Americano with cream. you can tell a lot about a companies coffee product especially when there are no sugars or flavors added because you just prefer a pure coffee experience!
