So there is an older lady employee that answered the phone I do not know her by name I know her by voice, and by face. She got on the phone I asked can I put in the order she said yes hold on one moment. So I waited she got back on the phone and ask how can she help me. I said I would like to put in a order let me see what I want. She says you can't see what you want but I can đ so my response back are you being a smart-ass she laughs and says no I was just joking. So I put in my order of chicken strips as I usually because I'm a usual customer. Normally when I order a bun, lettuce, tomato, red onion with chicken strips. As I'm looking to see what it is I want I'm being rushed by the employee on the phone. I asked can I speak to someone else she tells me I'll be waiting a while because she's the only one in the lobby. She puts me on hold but, I can still hear in the background then all of a sudden the phone hangs up. I took it as she hung up on me so my husband calls on his cell phone just to get hung up on also this is the second time. So by this time I'm pissed đĄ so then me and my husband gets in a car drives up there so that way I can speak to a manager about what just happened to me again I'm a usual customer have never been told by any manager that I was going to be 86th. I get all the way there speak to a manager that knows me by name and face. Only for me to pretty much told that the managers at the restaurant had been thinking about 86 and me because I had too many complaints so the manager on shift last night ask me if I have so many complaints then why do I keep coming here. The answer to that is obviously is that I like the food I've never complained about the customer service my only complaint was to get my order right now I'm being treated like I'm the employee instead of the customer how dare hops and drops managers in Lakewood come at me as if I'm doing something wrong . I'm thinking me and the employee of Hops drop are on the same page within me putting in my order then when I have already paid for it and it's not correct I call back to put in my complain.. I have only bump heads with one manager one time just so happen to be the same manager I spoke with today. I was only complaining about what it was that I was ordering and paid for and what I did not receive not the fact that the food was nasty are the food was cold . Its very convenient for me and my husband because we both work late is not far from our house.I had like my customer service from hops and drops that was the reason why I continue to come, we been going to hops and drops in Lakewood 3 years or longer. I think I'm more upset because my complaint was the fact that I got hung up by an employee of hops and drops 2 times only for me to get there I'm being told how managers are having conversations about me being 86 I'm being talked to like I'm an employee instead of the customer I have to say on tonight I feel highly...
   Read moreWe have been here a few times, and usually the food and service are just fine. Kind of on the high price so we don't go there often. However, the most recent visit is going to be enough that I will not be back again soon. The service was just horrible. The food is alright for those of us who were able to order some.
Our service was the biggest problem... They were not busy, and a friend and I joined a couple others that had been there a little while before we arrived. We sat at the table for about 30-45 minutes without the wait staff coming to ask if we wanted anything. We even tried to flag them down and were just ignored. Maybe they didn't realize that the number of people at the table had doubled, but I was hungry and wanted something to eat and drink. We ended up leaving and the people that were there before us had to go to the bar to pay because there seemed no other way to get the bill. The bar tender was not pleasant, in fact was outwardly unpleasant and seemed frustrated and wearing that attitude openly, perhaps annoyed about us asking them for the bill so we could leave.
There was no one at the greeting stand when we got there or when we left. Every other time we visited there had been though... mind you, this is at about 6 PM, and should be a very busy time of day.
I'm not sure what's going on, but the number of patrons that they had indicates to me that this is an ongoing issue and I would not be surprised to see management or staff turn over in their future, unless they just close up shop all together at this location.

I appreciate that you respond to these posts and care about your customer outlook. I am not interested in a coupon or even a free meal so you're not getting my contact info. We (the group I go out with) frequently go together to places and do so regularly. We will not be easily convinced to return again after our recent visit.
You don't usually get a second chance to make a good impression. The food is good, now you need to keep people coming back because they enjoy being there. Make those personal connections with the patrons so that they want to come back again and again. The last time we came to this location was in early spring for lunch, and I just know next time to ask for a different waitress because the blonde/purple hair waitress was doing the most and she took away from the fun of our experience. Like my boyfriend and I actually left uncomfortable. We usually leave HopsnDrops having a great time but leaving like this was a first. We paid, tipped and everything and my bf and I were patient and kind, but I just had to share just in case this lady still works here. For instance, when she first started taking our order she asked if weâve been here before and when we replied yes and told her what we like, I told her what my favorite drop was and she said that was her least favorite. She hates that flavor (limoncello drop is amazing so I just agreed to disagree but she insisted that itâs nasty). After we ordered, and got our food she made âfunnyâ comments on some food being on my boyfriends face while he was eating, and for what? Like he canât eat in peace? Maybe she couldâve offered napkins instead of an unnecessary joke, but maybe she was too busy. She was coughing as she was taking our order and didnât have a mask on so that made me want to leave but I didnât want to be rude. Maybe she doesnât have social awareness of how close she was and how consistent she was coughing? Disconcerting. I prefer not to have full on conversations with my waitress when enjoying the food, and the same goes for my boyfriend and friends I come here with; we prefer to be present with one another and make small conversation with the people giving us great service throughout our time there. With the purple/blonde waitress to be respectful , I engaged in her attempts to connect because itâs in my comfort zone to reciprocate respect, short and sweet is probably not her method which is totally OK I just want to come back and have a better experience. She was persistent, made us feel awkward, and did too much one less is more.
