Please help this place go out of business.
One can't help but be inspired to succeed after seeing this staff fail at every level. I say this earnestly to every staff member there. Every single skill and talent that was once considered normal in retail is gone because middle management is to afraid to say "no" to employees who want things their way. A 40 foot pile of sludge on this corner would serve West Colfax better than the current example of total failure.
Dear owner: why does one like you go into business to be mediocre? When an In N Out goes on that corner and you see the line around the block, it's for one simple reason. It's not because the burger is better. It's not because the fries are better. In fact Wendy's tastes better on every level. So why is the line at In N Out so long? Warm customer service, it's privately owned so there's no corporate garbage, zero attitude from a 22 year old idealist and no games.
When you order a # whatever combo meal at this Wendy's and they say "medium or large?", please respond by saying "small is an option so why didn't you offer that?" If they're honest they'll say "because if we get away with that hidden upsell 150 times per day, the owner earns an additional * $42,660 dollars which is strangely more than my income - and that jerk doesn't even give me a cut of that." *(150 hidden upsells a day x 360 days X.79 cent upsize charge per unit).
The hidden upsell is just one of my issues with this waste of space. Others include, bad language behind the counter, saggy pants, employees on their phone, zero personality, awkward eye contact or lack thereof all delivered by "know it all" kids" who's IQ is the less than their shoe size. Here's 2nd grade style proof that they can't think critically; I didn't want to use the KIOSK inside. There were dirty finger prints all over it. I'm not exaggerating; I was the only customer inside. After standing at the front counter for too long with no "hello" I asked if I could order. Employee quote "can't you see the drive thru is busy? I don't know when someone can staff the inside register. The person working the register is on break right now." Me: "When the grill person goes on break do you abandon the grill?" Other day they shorted me in change, I thought they didn’t have change for me so they rounded up the dollar and I was going to benefit but they did the reverse and shorted me. Time before that they shorted me a cookie. I’m a patient man but today crossed the line. Today they don’t have bbq sauce. Today I ordered a cookie and almost chipped my tooth on the stalest nastiest sugar cookie I ever ordered. Today the fries are soggy as hell. Also today tried the chicken nuggets and you can tell they have been sitting in a warming tray for a few hours so that sucked as well. Also today I added the sugar cookie to my biggie bag order which should make the cookie $1 but these employees don’t believe in this nationwide company rule. This is the worst Wendys in the area…from now on I’ll travel to a different Wendys bc not only does the food always suck at this location but the employees all have attitude and hate their lives...
Read moreMy family and I were traveling and I happened to lose my debit card. All I had was a $50 bill on us to get something to eat. I had ordered $20 of food and tried to pay with that $50bill and the manager refused to let us order because she couldn’t break a $50 bill. I think this is absolutely ridiculous and if I were the owner of this establishment I would want to know if my customers were turned away for reasons such as this. This completely upset all of us as we had been traveling all day, we’re hungry and needed to use the bathroom!! I also had asked to be let in the restroom so we could use it and was completely ignored. We had been driving for 4 hours and this is the treatment we get. I will Never visit this location or support their sales at this location or at other Wendy’s in my life. We will spend our money elsewhere.
