First let me say that we have been to El Limón in Bristol many many times and we love it! When we walked in, we thought it looks small with not a lot of places to sit and dine but also very clean with a great atmosphere. We waited about 10 minutes to place an order for takeout because, apparently, there is only 1 computer for the entire place, both for takeout and for diners. We finally placed our order and were told a 20 minute wait. It was about 15 minutes until our food was ready. The food was good but disappointing when our expectations were set high at the Bristol location. Not even half the amount of onions and cilantro on our tacos, one meal got none of those 2 things. I asked for certain things on the side and they were directly on the tacos. Then, we asked to buy a mandarin soda we're told $3 for 1 bottle and when we paid, it was closer to $4. I asked if they had a punch card, like they do in Bristol, and they said yes and never gave us one. So all in all, just an ok experience. I understand that they just opened, so we will probably give them a second chance. But the one in Bristol is far better...
Read moreI was excited to have a Mexican place to eat close to my house. I ordered a Al Pastor taco and a Grilled Chicken Taco and my spouse ordered a dish with what was supposed to be be Mole sauce which is usually brown. We got our dishes and mine was over run by onions, the amount of onions could change the name from El Limon to El Onion. My spouse had some weird orange sauce that tasted like Mayo. We didn’t complain but let the waitress know that it was not Mole sauce. Trying to give them a bit of a break because they seemed very new. I ordered a Horchata drink to go! If anyone knows Horchata it is made with Rice Milk, cinnamon and then strained……key word STRAINED! I took a few sip and had mouth full of gritty rice like material in my mouth! I called the waitress over and told her and that the bottom of the cup was heavy with something. She told me it’s Rice! 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 I told her Horchata should be strained! She said it’s made with Rice! I understand that but does anyone expect Almonds in their Almond milk or Soy Beans in their Soy Milk? I will not be going back at all. As far as an Authentic Mexican...
Read moreI want to preface this by saying others in my party enjoyed their food. Also, given it's their second week, I plan to return once they are a little more established and then update the review. Lastly, per the staff, two servers called out, which may explain why they seemed critically understaffed.
Despite being understaffed, the servers were friendly, just overwhelmed.
We visited on a Friday night and they were bustling with both dine in patrons as well as take out.
Folks in my party ordered rice, tacos, a salad, chips with dips, and fajitas. Most were satisfied with the quality of the food except for the fajitas. The veggies were burnt beyond being palatable. Again, probably to the staff being overwhelmed which is why I would probably give them another try.
Overall value for the dishes...
