The Cafe Of Langhorne — Restaurant in Langhorne

We haven't received our food yet. I don't how long we've been here, but it's been over a half hour since we ordered. Everyone who was already seated when we showed up have JUST in the last 5 - 10 minutes received their breakfasts. However good our food ends up being, the wait is still unacceptable. This is a small cafe, there were three couples at booths and one solo at the counter when we arrived, so it's not "packed". I considered rating less than three stars, but I'm allowing for the fact that maybe the food is REALLY good.

UPDATE A couple of minutes after our food arrived and we began to eat, we were approached by a woman other than our waitress, asking if everything was alright. I began to reply when she let me know she had read my review and apologized for the wait. It seems the breakfast special I had ordered took much longer to prep than they had anticipated, and everyone else who was seated before we arrived had also ordered that same special. I appreciated the explanation, and I DO understand being a small, hometown cafe where 99% of your customers come in every day. I think what would have been very helpful in our situation, and for future reference, is communication. Once the problem was discovered, perhaps someone could have let us know, "Sorry for the longer than usual wait...", then explained what the problem was. Perhaps offer the option of ordering something else, and then, if I decided to wait anyway, I'd at least know why. Let me start by saying I was referred here from friends and would gladly refer mine to The Cafe of Langhorne. I've had nothing but excellent experiences here! The service is top notch and the food has always been great! The employees have gone out of their way to get to know me on a personal level, and I have noticed that the staff always ensures those with physical limitations get safely to and from their cars. WHO DOES THAT? It's the kind of service you just don't see everywhere, and it goes to show how this place cares for and values their customers. Only reason I'll steer away from one star is the food was mediocre. Service was terrible from the second we walked in. Everyone behind the bar just stares at you like a deer in headlights. Asked if we had to seat ourselves followed up with an explanation of signing our names on a legal pad. Excellent hostess work. Followed up by a waitress throwing the menus on the table, which has ripped and torn booth seats. Order comes out in an excellent timely manner but than nothing from the waitress the rest of the meal. My wife's French toast didn't come out with her order we had to ask for it after the food was dropped off. French toast was undercooked with too much raw egg in the middle. Never plan on...
