I ordered food from this place for the first time tonight and I have mixed feelings so far. I used to get a honey chicken dish from another restaurant but they closed down years ago. When I seen it on the menu here at Peking tokyo I decided to give it a try. It seems like no other place makes honey chicken the same as the place I used to get it from. The portion was a good size but the sauce was not honey at all. It tasted more like sweet and sour sauce but without the sour. I also didn't like how the platter didn't come with egg rolls or fried rice like every other asian restaurant I get food from. I had to pay an extra $3 for the rice which brought the total to around 18 dollars, which is around 5-6 dollars more than I normally spend at my favorite local spot. Although the honey chicken itself wasn't that great the fried rice was excellent and very flavorful. I didn't even have to add soy sauce to it. I feel like if I got a more common dish I wouldn't have been disappointed. They Asian lady that handed me my order was very nice and really polite and friendly. My order was also ready not long after I placed it so that's a plus. I would've given this place 4 stars if they included fried rice and an egg roll with the platter and it wasn't so expensive compared to other places. All in all it's worth trying if you have the money. Just don't get the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTHIS PLACE RULES!!! Seriously though. I haven't written any reviews in a while, but I feel inclined to write about this spot. Peking Tokyo is the most excellent of restaurants. A very nice atmosphere, kind staff and excellent food. They are extra impressive as their sushi, chinese food and Thai food is ALL top notch! Whether you want something super spicy or some sashimi, you have come to the right place! This is literally the first restaurant that I reccomend when anyone asks where they should go in Langhorne. It should also be noted that 100% of the people I send there come back to me and say "Wow, thanks! That was awesome!" Yet have I found someone that does not like this place! Peking Tokyo offers the option of just a few pieces of sushi up to a smorgasbord of whatever you would like. The presentation is absolutely astonishing! The man is an artist!!! (See picture below!) If you want awesome Thai, Chinese or sushi, this is the place...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreReally nice people. But the sushi/rolls were not good at all. The quality of fish was not good. The amount of salt added to the fillings was too much. I threw mine out after I sampled each item and made a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Go down the road at the giant plaza where the orange theory fitness is if you want sushi or rolls, there is a place you will enjoy starting with an āOā. I canāt speak for their other food categories, but Iām willing to give them a try for Chinese and Thai. They just opened, so maybe itās just a few kinks need to be worked out.
Peking Tokyo, please consider changing your fish merchant and using much less salt, and fresh avocado and lettuce. Let me know what dishes you recommend.
Edited to add: I am seeing a lot of potential comments made by employees or friends of the business. Nice way to up the...
