AnQi Sushi Express — Restaurant in Lansing

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE: I placed my order and told the cashier i wanted 2 sides eel sauce with with my sushi. After cashing me out The cashier had left and the others were making my sushi. They brought my sushi to the counter. I said I had also ordered eel sauce with my sushi. The guy said there is a charge for it. I said thats fine I told the guy i wanted that with my sushi so I assumed he rang it up with my order. He asked for my receipt i said i told the guy i did not need one but you should have a copy. He looked and said I had not paid for it. I said thats fine please charge me for it. He said we can not run your card for the eel sauce because they are only 50cents each but we can drizzle it over your sushi. I explained I like lots of sauce with my sushi. Everytime i have been there before i have ordered the extra eel sauce. I even offered to pay for their charge it cost them to run my card through their machine for the cheap eel sauce and they still would not do it. Well that will be the last...

FOOD: It's not awful, but it's the same kind of sushi I could buy at Meijer and bring to work at my convenience. I'd say it's nearly equal in price. I got this tofu thing, and it was awful. I tried my hardest to eat it, but I just couldn't. I told the staff I was displeased and the guy there (Who was very nice) told me I could have something else instead. I got cold edamame (What?) and had eaten some when the guy at the counter came back and told me I had to pay for the edamame as it was my fault I didn't like their food. What?! I don't even know what to say to that or about that. (the waiter guy still felt bad about it.)

Do NOT go here if you have an ALLERGY!

I ordered California rolls with an allergy note, which they added gluten free soy sauce in a separate cup but still placed a normal soy sauce packet inside. Which exploded and contaminated most of the rolls. We reordered to get safe cali rolls and after that, they call saying the crab meat isn’t even safe. I put in notes about the allergy warning both times and they were negligent and lazy with instructions and communication about what is safe to eat. They aren’t educated about allergies and will argue with you pretending they’re listening. Very rude experience overall, will not be returning and I do not recommend it to anyone...
