Capital Hippie has become one of my favorite small businesses to support, a truly amazing business owner with truly incredible products made by hand by the owner.

A few months ago, I purchased a rainbow flannel from her on impulse and was so excited when it arrived. As a tall woman, I can never find things that fit well and are comfortable with long sleeves. This shirt was not only the cutest thing I’ve ever seen, but is so soft and fits like a dream! With the ability to roll up the sleeves when it gets warm too, this shirt has become a staple in my wardrobe and a calling card for anyone who may be looking for me. As seen in the picture, it was key for a convention I attended and made it super easy for people to find me and say hi! I continued supporting the store owner online and waiting until I could make my next purchase to further support and expand my collection.

I placed a large order online last night, and shot her a message letting her know that we were moving into a new home and I wanted to ensure the package would arrive at our new address after move in so the former owners wouldn’t be getting my mail. She was beyond happy to help me with that and ensure it’d be delivered in the time frame requested and made me aware a few things had sold out that I had been interested in. Instead of refunding me and leaving me longing, she told me she’d make the items custom for me and asked about my preferences with tie dye which is an incredible level of consideration!

I continue to be blown away by this business, and the owner clearly is extremely talented at what she does and has the best customer service I’ve seen in a long time. I genuinely could not recommend this business any more than I am, she’s an amazing person to support and her products are absolutely phenomenal. Every single time I wear her work in public, I get stopped and given compliments and asked where I got it from! If you’re looking for something bright to liven up your wardrobe, look no further than Capital Hippie. She’ll tie dye anything and everything to keep you and your home looking funky fresh and vibrant.

This is going to be a long rambling review about how much I LOVE this shop!! Not only is it owned by a super cool lady who does all the tie-dying herself, but also shows off some local artists in the area which is really very cool. I walked in an immediately lit up. The energy was so warm and inviting. Truly good vibrations in this place. Endless things to look at, truly everything you could want. I I eventually settled on a gorgeous purple and yellow tie dye robe, because I have been searching for a nice one to lounge in after work. I’ve bought several trying to find the perfect comfortable fit. I settled on this as my purchase, knowing I was coming back, SOON, for more. I was in love with the amazing colors and softness of the fabric. I left with the robe, and my now favorite sunglasses. When I slipped that baby on to get cozy at home….I’m a changed girl. Great collection of pins, stickers, and clothes. I specifically went for the leggings, but overall the clothing material feels far sturdier and higher quality then anything you can get from a chain or amazon at similar prices. Owner is friendly, personable, and easy to chat with. The artwork is great, the Tie Dyes are handmade and look great.
