VEGETARIANS BEWARE! If you order a pizza with split toppings, they mark the divide in toppings with pieces of pepperoni.
They usually do not show you this; it is removed before they bring the pizza to your table. I felt lucky to have seen the workers removing the pepperoni markers on my VEGETARIAN pizza before I ate it. One side had green peppers, the other side wanted mushrooms. I asked the worker who had brought the pizza to our table why he was pulling pepperoni pieces off of the cheese (!!??!!), and he explained that this was the mandatory way that they mark split topping pizzas. The manager supported this statement. I was disgusted.
Of course, we did not eat the pizza and got a refund. But that is not the point! If someone orders a pizza with no meat on it, it should be assumed that they might not eat meat. It is irrelevant what their reason for not eating meat is (ethics, diet, allergy). It is totally disrespectful for Mancino's to use meat for their marker. It contaminates the food, and the pizza is no longer vegetarian.
I was told by management that day (Oct. 5th, 2018) that if a person does not want them to do this, they need to state when placing their order that they have a food allergy to meat and then Mancino's will use something else.
Here is a novel idea: why don't you just place one of the ordered vegetables on top of the cheese to mark it?
I used to really love getting pizzas here. But after this experience, I will be...
Read moreI enjoy the food not so much the staff. I have talked to the owner a few times. You would think you would get some kind of compensation for all the trouble. But instead you just get told that she'll talk to them and try to fix the problem. I've been told I can't be sold sauce because it's after closing time. I have been pretty much pushed out well in the middle of eating and because it was near closing time. The staff is just extremely rude and always acts like they're frustrated. I rarely have a good experience luckily my food doesn't taste horrible. But we really don't choose to go there anymore due to the staff. Got food a few weeks ago we called repeatedly. It was a busy signal the whole entire time. So then we decided just to go up there and order our self. They said the phones were acting up but yet they just kept ringing while I was there. And then they informed me that it is going to close in a half an hour or so please don't expect to dine in. They don't know how to use their coupons correctly. And the staff acts like your inconvenience if you're going to order anywhere in the last hour. I've worked at a pizza place and I know how it is to get a order 3 minutes before closing and then have to wait even for my delivery driver to take it out. But I had never took it out...
Read moreI made my order at 107pm via telephone. I let them know id be picking up my order at 345 and the girl on the phone said "yep, got it, ready for pickup at 345, see you then". I then got a text at 231pm saying my order was ready....but when I showed up at 332pm they hadnt even put my order in the oven yet....I asked why I got a message saying it was ready if it wasn't and all she could say was "our system is weird with the texts" to which I then asked "well, the person I placed my order with knew and confirmed it would be ready to be picked up at 345 to which she replied "well, its only 342....". She could not give me a reason as to why the order wasn't even in the oven when I arrived. Lousy customer service, rude teenage at the front and dirty looks for two adults standing watch in the kitchen really makes me not want to support the business any longer. The cherry on top.....the food was so bland. The breads sticks were flat and bland as well. Whomever is thw franchisee owner really needs to reconsider their staff if that is how they're going to treat paying customers. And asking for a tip at the register for people who get paid minimum wage or more is obnoxious. I don't have to tip you for handing...
