Visited here for lunch on 4 October 2018 following the recommendation of an archivist at the American Heritage Center. If you're a book lover, as soon as you walk in, you feel welcomed by the floor-to-ceiling bookshelves that cover the two side walls. Recent used hardcovers and paperbacks are available along with vintage books, all organized by subject. I ordered a shot-in-the-dark to drink and a breakfast burrito to eat. During the brief wait while my food was cooked, I browsed the bookshelves and spotted a good variety of titles. When my food came, it was cooked perfectly and the quiet atmosphere was relaxing for lunch. After eating, I went upstairs to browse the books located there. In the end, I got two used books. A 1911 hardcover about Buffalo Bill as a gift for my father and a 1953 hardcover of Arthur C. Clarke's "Childhood's End" for myself, both in excellent condition. I'll definitely...

I didn't catch the cafe portion but arrived at the shop pretty late in their day. Caught my eye and got a locals recommendation that I would enjoy this place and boy howdy did I ever! The staff member I met was extremely kind and passed vibe check ✅ immediately. Understood exactly what I was looking for and I even had a grail level find for my personal interest for very reasonable prices. There are also $1 book racks that are on theme but not the creme de le creme stuff. I couldn't have enjoyed my time here more and will definitely return when I'm not dealing with time restraints. Thanks again and it was a pleasure exploring your shop! Best regards -Lob the...

Really enjoyed coming in to this small coffee shop. For half price, I got a day-old earl grey scone that still tasted amazing (and definitely didn't taste a day old). I also got an oat milk Mayan Mocha (half sweet). Super glad I did because it was definitely still sweet (but the barista warned me so I was expecting it). Probably an okay sweetness for most folk, I'm just a bitter weirdo. The sweetness wasn't in a cloying way and I could definitely still taste the coffee. Barista was super helpful and engaged with everyone who walked through the door. Nice and cozy. Will definitely be back when I'm...

I often forget Night Heron because I am not a coffee drinker, so when we go, it is for their breakfast burritos, which I would argue are the best ones in town that are handheld rather than smothered in a green chili. Add a world-class pastry and you're probably overstuffed until dinner. Today I went for lunch for the first time and Night Heron has suddenly launched to the top of my lunch list after the best soup and salad of my life. Don't sleep on this gem like I'd been. The small bookstore atmosphere alone is worth a visit if you are new to Laramie. Oh, and I hear the coffee is great too.

I have yet to be disappointed by this wonderful place. Comfortable cafe, cozy atmosphere, delicious (and affordable) eats, and a variety of beverages. Today's soy latte was just the right amount of foam. Great place to sit and eat breakfast while watching the day go by from an upstairs window, or have a chat with a friend, or study and write while sipping an infused apple cider, or check out the variety of books that line the shelves on the walls... Night Heron is a gem.

The staff is incredibly sweet and welcoming to everyone. The outdoor seating is comfortable and has a nice mix of shade and sunny spots throughout the time I was there. The coffees are delicious and all of the food looks incredible. I am grateful that the patio is dog friendly. It's really cool that the have a pay-it-forward program as well. Great people, great food and great vibes.
