Second Story Books — Local services in Laramie

This place is amazing and genuinely a wonder and treasure of Laramie. I've been able to find books for school, leisure, work, and learning here. This place is a treasure. The people that work there loves books and love helping. They are all so interesting ❤️

RAVE: I've found more books here than at Barnes and Noble in Cheyenne. It's easier to navigate and the ladies there KNOW what they're doing. Why/How would a graphic novel about a girl growing up in Iran that I needed for a University class end up in a Wyoming bookstore? Idk! But instead of waiting for Amazon to follow through or not, I had the book. They have TAP PAY (which Walmart doesn't even have).

Idk why this place would be rated less than 5 starts except for their availability in books (which A, s a problem all bookstores have and B, they will order for you no problem). I've personally never had to order a book because even if I go in there once and don't find one if I go back in the next time I most likely will.

They have a constant refresh of books, new and old. They try to stay on top of all the current trending books and what people want. I love this place so much. If I'm feeling down I'll go there. I go with the intention of buying a book to make myself feel better, but even walking around in there makes me feel better. I don't know if it's the atmosphere or the warmth the ladies bring to the store...I think it's a magical place. These people KNOW THEIR BOOKS and are always interested in...

I love this bookstore so much! A hidden gem in Laramie for sure. 10/10 would recommend. Not many people know about this place I feel, but it really is amazing.

Extra thoughts: They have a wide variety and will order books for you. I have found multiple books I need for classes at this store. The staff are so friendly and even know history about the building. It's so peaceful. The staff always welcome you in. They come find you to let you know they are around to help fix they don't tell u directly first. I honestly always come here on a bad day. Maybe it's the ladies that run the store, or just the antiquesque-ness of the building, or the feel that you're entering a whole new world when u reach the top of the stairs. Such a fun spot in Laramie. There’s three sections of the store. The downstairs has the coffee shop and older books. Around the corner is the used bookstore and upstairs there’s new books and lots of merchandise. You could spend hours enjoying each section. We realized love the upstairs. There’s lots of light, fun gifts, antiques, and plenty of new books. There’s also a fun children’s room and another huge section of used books. Everything was very affordable.
