Buckhorn Bar & Parlor — Restaurant in Laramie

The Buck is a fun place. Different kinds of music is played, but my personal favorite is hip hop. It's just that some of the customers that visit are inhibited, mean, anxious, socially inept, not really open-minded, liberal, and most importantly make fast wrong judgments about other people.

Don't expect most the college crowd that comes in to be cool and hip. Most of them are phobes especially on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. Even while drunk most of them are still not loose. I don't need to drink that much to be outgoing it's part of my personality. I came there to party/dance, socialize, meet potential hookups, and to go home to enjoy safe sex at the end of the night when the bar closes. It's ironic because if I was just judging their appearances they dress trendy, hip and fashionably, the hip hop floor was fun but their attitude didn't reflect what hip hop is about. Hip hop contrary to popular belief is about being hip while being your self. Anyways this just applies to some people not everyone there was lame. I met some hip people but unfortunately there was not enough of those types at the bar party those nights. There were more of the other kinds of people that make parties boring and irritating then soon after make me leave.

If anybody knows a bar or a any other place where mostly real hip people frequent...

How to write the Buckhorn? Definitely depends on what you're looking for. The Buckhorn is a crowded Bar packed with a mix of college students local Cowboys and tourists. On Sunday nights they have an open mic and that is a treat to your ears and your soul. On that night there's a bunch of local people who are not Cowboys will get together and play some really good music! Bring your guitar cuz they'll ask you to play along. The buck as it's lovingly known is not a clean place. Best to drink your beer out of a bottle... If you're a tourist you must stop in and you must look at the bullet holes in the mirror and you must be there for happy hour where it's 2 for 1 drinks and the drinks are strong and they keep them coming. Take pictures cuz your friends at home...

We travel to Lararmie often and enjoy this local dive bar but am left with no other options and hope the owner might reach out based on my review. Customers beware I was charged 24.02 for my drinks on one credit card but told that card was declined so provided a second card and charged 39.74 on that card and was unable to obtain a receipt from the bar tender. We left and didn't think it was a big deal even though I always like to have a receipt in hand but I always trust that most people are honest. I've emailed and called the establishment to no avail. I've now disputed the second charge but without any receipts I'm kind of at their mercy paying 63.76 for 2 beers and 2 shots. Still hoping management will reach out...
