Sabor A Cielo — Restaurant in Laredo

Was super excited to try this place. My friend & I ordered the strawberry matcha and cheesecake, and honestly, we should’ve saved our money. The matcha was $9 and tasted like sugary milk with a vague memory of matcha. For that price, I was expecting something at least remotely flavorful, not a glorified glass of sweetened milk. The cheesecake was forgettable but ok.

But the real kicker was the service- when we walked in the FOUR employees behind the counter just stared at us like we were aliens. We weren’t sure if we were supposed to wait for a hostess or just take a seat so we just took a seat by the bar against the wall. When we approached the cashier, the staff seemed disengaged, looking around as if they couldn’t help us. The lack of hospitality really took away from the experience.
