Horrible service, I do not recommend! I had ordered a spicy salmon cone. The waiter brings me a spicy tuna cone. I let him know that I did not order spicy tuna. He responds with “we don’t make spicy salmon.” Then I ask if they could change my cone since I don’t like tuna and he replied, “We can’t do that since that’s what you ordered”. I told him once again that I did not in fact order tuna cones and would not be paying for something I did not order and would not be eating and told him to take the plate back. He took the plate and what I am assuming is the manager came to the table and said the waiter told her I would not be paying for the food I did not order. She made it very clear all she was concerned about was me paying for the cones I would not be eating at this point. Before she walked away she asked if they made the changes we had originally asked for if we would in fact pay which we assured her is all we wanted from the beginning. I had a bad experience today with the manager. I opened the FiveStars app to see what deals I can use on this restaurant. When I opened the app, I clicked on the Sushi Madre restaurant, it displayed a promotion. The promotion said I could receive a free “Edame” appetizer with the purchase of $20+. I went ahead and ordered the appetizer knowing I was going to spend more than $20.
When it came to pay my check, I re-opened the app, to show the promotion to my waiter, but it was no longer there. I re-checked and told my server about it. He went ahead and showed his manager.

Read moreI have never had to leave such a terrible review, I honestly feel bad doing so. I called this place while away on a business trip. It was the closest to my hotel. I never had the opportunity to even try anything on the menu. Unfortunately, I attempted to call 3 times to place an order only to be told that they no longer had any of those choices available. These were common menu items like the Ahi Tuna tower, jalapeño appetizer, or the fish ceviche. I attempted to read the menu that is posted on Google to the hostess, only to be told that it’s an old menu and has not been updated yet by management.
