Chopsticks — Restaurant in Laredo

A very unassuming place, tucked into an old plaza, but don't let that scare you away. Very friendly staff. I called and ordered takeout. We decided to try the California roll combo. Unfortunately, it did not come with a drink, but was only a little over 2 bucks more over and it included veggies and rice. The veggies were cooked/steamed well, but could use a little more flavor. I also ordered the Chipotle chicken plate. The Chipotle sauce was amazing! The chicken however was tough and dry. But, with the sauce covering it, it went down ok. The Chipotle sauce tasted so good, you could put it on a dog turd and I would eat it. The portions are huge and the plate is definitely going to make me 2 meals! I felt like i got alot of food for the price. The California roll was good, not to fishy and the crab flavor came through fresh and lite. The rice was the perfect consistency to hold it all together. Laredo actually has a lot of good sushi places, so there is a bunch of competition and comparison going on and this one was just ok comparably speaking. The atmosphere needs a little help, and the parking lot needs sealing, but it is not uncomfortable and we did find a spot right up front as it was after 5 p.m. All in all, a nice little spot that I will return to for the Chipotle...

Don't order online from here. I've been ordering from here for years without issue, until now. Today, I ordered Monterey rolls (which are $8.99 & come with rice & a crab salad) & was overcharged & didn't receive the combos. When I called to find out what happened, the lady on the phone said it was an issue with an update on the app. I asked if there was a way to get what was missing and she passed me to some other man that said I would have to order everything again. I told him I couldn't afford to order the food again. I asked if I could take the food back so I can get the missing food & he said no. He said there was nothing he could do for me. This is horrible customer service. I was way overcharged & didn't get what was supposed to be included (the menu they put with my order even shows that it's $8.99 & that it's the roll with rice & salad) & the man (supposed manager, I believe) wouldn't help me out even though it was an issue with the app. Ended up paying close to $60 for something that should have been under $40. Horrible...

I just wanted to take the time to post a review on this place because we love them so much! Their food is delicious, wow! The mercy towers are top of the line delectable. I’m amazed with their friendliness, great food and how quickly they prepare our order everytime! We were regular customers before moving to another city but we make sure to come here everytime we come to Laredo. One time, they misunderstood our order over the phone and they came to deliver it. When they left we were getting ready to eat and realized that this what not what we had ordered. So we immediately called them back to let them know and they were so quick to fix our order and deliver it to us again. To top it off, they were about to close too and delivered it after they closed.
