Texas Roadhouse — Restaurant in Laredo

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE EVER! 1/31/25 THANK YOU VICTOR THE MANAGER FOR BEING AN UNDERSTANDING AND COMPASSIONATE HUMAN! My family of 6 (4 adults 2 kids ages 11&3)Got there at 6:20pm, went to the girls in front to reserve, was told is a 30-40 min wait, 30min we go back and ask, they didn’t have the proper name down and now they state they originally told us 40-50min, ok fine we waited and they put the proper name. Another 40 min and still no table, we ask and was told they are waiting for our table to be free so they can put it together and that we’ve only waited a total of 53 minutes, they argued back and forth with me when I stated we had been there a little over an hour, girl in front said “exactly that what we told you”, didn’t know 50 minutes equals 1 hour but ok they finally sit us down @ 7:50pm (at a table that did NOT require moving tables together) and to then see a giant roach run across the floor…no we didn’t say anything because we didn’t want to make a scene… ok fine we sit and wait over 20 minutes for them to take our order, luckily we had been ready to order our drinks AND our food. Table of 12-13 sits behinds us as they wait…25 minutes still waiting on at least the salads…NOPE! Table behind us and next to us received their appetizers and sides! Spoke to a manager (woman I did not get the name of) all she said was she will be back, finally salads come and no one has came back at all another 20 min our waitress comes and states it’s “Only been 40 minutes” that we’ve waited and that food is almost out as well as “and it’s not my fault to take it up with the manager”, alright got up and asked for manager and spoke to Victor, while speaking to him about our situation the woman manager goes to our table and says the bill has been handled! We didn’t even eat! And to make matters worse the table behind got all their food At that time. We Left and keep in mind we didn’t make a scene and were not yelling for the whole restaurant to see. Only reason I give 2 stars is because Victor was kind and understanding and offered a voucher which we got, Texas Roadhouse employees, horrible service and disrespectful, only person that even cared was VICTOR THE MANAGER! THANK YOU VICTOR! Went to chilis right across and got BETTER AND FASTER service from Laura and Gael! By the Way WE LEFT...

Great Steakhouse with affordable prices, high quality food and lots of options to choose from. We got the cactus onion which is basically a whole onion deep fried, it comes with a chipotle-like dressing on the side which tastes great. Also while you wait for your food to come, you can order some bread for free, which comes with a cinnamon butter to die for, we enjoyed it a lot. To eat we got two dishes, one was the pulled pork dinner which was really good, specially with the BBQ sauce, as sides for this one we went for the cup of chili (which was a bit salty but it was good), and the ribs which we devoured it, definitely these are the best ribs we've got in the city, they're super tender, you can easily remove the from the bone and the sauce was also very tasty, no wonder why this is award-winning. The other dish we got was the rib eye, which was also really good, for this we decided to get Mac&Cheese and mushrooms as sides, which were pretty good as well. Since we went on mother's day it was pretty crowded, and the wait line was around 1 hour, however they offer us to seat on the bar and skip the wait line, which we did. The service is pretty fast, the staff is Friendly and always happy...

It has a good ambience, very nice looking place. They have that whole "Roadhouse" thing going on. The waitress' are very attractive which is a positive but that's just about where it stops being good. Everything else in this location is terrible. The service is slow, had to wait for about 40 minutes for our food, and we got refills maybe 2 or three times. The food tastes like dirt, and I've never tasted dirt but I'd imagine saying it tastes like dirt is a bit too good to describe this. It seemed like the food was prepared in a rush which is a bit of a shock because they did take a long time to bring the food. I ordered a bowl of Chilli and it was straight out of a can, tasted horrible. The price was ridiculous and I did not believe the waitress deserved a 15% tip, and did not feel like the 100 dollars spent on that place were worth it at all. I should've gone to Wendy's and gotten a better quality of food for 5 times less the price. Like I said, the waitress served us 2-3 times but only for drinks, a cook was the one that brought the food. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. And would seriously would recommend you go to Chilli's...
