Today was my first time going here. I went in not knowing what I was going to expect. I went in looking for something for my uncle. He wanted an asiago bagel. I wasn't sure what I wanted. After asking the lady behind the counter if they had asiago bagels I learned that this place is dairy free and meat free. After a quick phone call to my uncle he decided to not get anything at all. I got a garlic bagel with dairy free chive cream cheese. I enjoyed it and the flavor of the cream cheese. However my only concern is this. There was no mention of being dairy free or meat free on the door leading into the shop or even in the shop itself. I have recommended this place to a person who is lactose intolerant but without the information being made public such as on the door... How are people supposed to know that you are dairy free and meat free? Please at the absolute least make a sign to place on your door that says that so people know that is what your lovely shop is. Thank you...
Read moreStew's House of Bagels has my favorite bagels in Florida! (Frida's Cafe and Bakery is my second favorite) There is nothing not good here at Stew's - so if you can't decide what to get just come back a second time because they're open 7 days a week. The bagels are super fresh, New York authentic, and they don't fool around when it comes to toppings because the bagels definitely are covered with what type of topping you get. They also have great bagel sandwiches like egg salad, tuna salad and fried egg and cheese. (Writing this review is making me want to have one of their bagels right now!) The staff are very friendly and helpful. Let's get to the grand finale: the desserts! The desserts are all fantastic! They all taste very homemade and fresh. The chocolate chip cookies are good, the chocolate cigars are delicious and the chocolate rugelach...
Read moreThis is a small bagel shop in Largo. New York bagels. There were a few people at the counter when I walked in. The man who took my order couldn't hear too well and I'm not sure if he heard me say I wanted extra cream cheese on my bagels. The bagels didn't have extra cream cheese. But they were tasty.
In the future, I'd suggest having someone else taking the order at the counter. The poor guy had 2 hearing aids. This could help avoid confusion in the future.
Overall, I am definitely considering going back because the bagels are high quality and the prices are reasonable. If it weren't for the lackluster experience at the counter, I'd like have given this place a 5. I recommend Stew's to anyone who is looking for REAL bagels without having to spend a crazy...
