I have been to all the icebox breweries in Las Cruces. This location was always my favorite, well until about six months ago. I’ve been a regular here since it opened and I knew most of the staff and they were excellent, but then last fall/winter they seem to all leave at the same time, always a red flag, and they’ve been replaced by a new group of staff members who have not kept up the level of service. I sometimes wait far to long to get served, which is super annoying, no one seems to pay attention to who’s coming in. I was there this weekend and once again had to go to the bar and let them know that we are waiting for service. So when you’ve been a regular for a long while and are used to a higher level of service and familiar faces, it’s rough. One time I came in Dec 2023 and the three new servers were all discussing something behind the bar pertaining to someone else’s receipt. It was market day so kinda busy. But no one came to our table or acknowledge us. The place was busy but none of them were moving. We sat there for a long time at least 20-30minutes and finally picked up a menu at the bar and asked for someone to come to our table to at least take out beer order. I didn’t complain as I could see they must all be new. But honestly common sense says don’t all stand around discussing while customers need serving.

Maybe the reason for lackluster service is they share tips here, so I don’t think there’s much incentive to stand out and do an excellent job. I’ve worked as a bar tender and a server and most servers really dislike sharing/pooling all their tips! It’s an unfair practice to those that work hard. And it rewards the lazy!

Speaking of hard workers, there is one exceptional server and he does an excellent job, his name is DANNY! He is one of the original staff members.I always hope I get him as my server as he is far superior to all the others.

This used to be my 5 Star brewery but since all the staff left and the new ones are mediocre at best I don’t go as much. Danny could teach them a few things. He should be the manager and get this place back in shape, I hope he doesn’t leave like the others did. He is a 5/5 star server.

They also need to have more regular entrainment like weekly quiz night, otherwise it’s kind of boring now. My friends and I are starting to go to the other breweries that have a weekly quiz night.

The Food menu though has always been better than all the other brewery locations. Good vegetarian options as well and the beer is good and consistent. Not sure if they have happy hour - honest didn’t pay attention to the price. I hope the service improves or I will have to find a new place to be a regular. Also I think they need to stop allowing young children after 6 pm too many running around like it’s a day care. Sorry not sorry! Control your kids people.

If you go more than once make sure you figure out how to earn points, they have a point system for frequently visitors and...

Horrible customer service from a manager that was “really busy” and couldn’t assist me with a concern from a visit the evening prior. She did offer to take my number down and call me back, but her entire demeanor from how she answered the phone didn’t give me any confidence that she would actually follow through; she was rude from the moment she answered the phone. Let me give you some customer service tips since I will never visit any Icebox establishment again nor will I recommend. Identify yourself when you answer the phone. Refrain from telling customers that you are too busy to help them. Don’t charge your customers twice. First and last time going here which is unfortunate as my husband’s beer was good and so was my drink, but I don’t want to pay double and then be treated poorly simply for calling to see why. I recommend not opening a tab if you want to pay cash and getting a receipt when you do pay cash after providing your card (which makes sense that you do this to prevent people from walking out on their bill). I would really like to speak to the owner. I wonder if they are too busy. Or perhaps my cash was stolen by the person I paid it to and tipped and that’s why my card was charged. I never leave bad reviews and I love to support local business. Please do some customer service training for...

fun environment most nights depending on the entertainment. Food is delish; however, I have a few allergies and noted that when ordering and received the tacos with said ingredients. Other than a rare fluke with a food order, as it does happen- and a rare -same night fluke of bad music choice- To each their own-The server Shyann was amazing and courteous and offered to have a new taco made for me. She went above and beyond- rare gem! Shyann noticed right away, that I picked my food over. I did not accept the send back food offer; only due to our lack of time. She handled everything professionally and with sincerity! We will be back and hope she is there when we arrive so we can properly thank her in person for her amazing dedication to profound service! Highly recommend the fish tacos; when you go, go with plenty of time to spare! Look up the music in advance- They typically have really good performers Like BJ ramirez, or other known locals; but this night we were not...

Absolutely Excellent. Took the visiting family there after the Farmer's market. Service was excellent and personable! We sat out overlooking the market (garage door window can be opened) IceBox has great beer and cider, always envjoy the Pichaco location. The whole family had a great meal and beer (and cocktails) Can't miss going here... had the Carne Asada Nachos ... could feed two or three!! Excellent experience!

This place is good for beer, cocktails, and tacos. They don’t have much else. Both the food and drink prices are pretty reasonable. The have indoor and outdoor seating, and it probably depends on the day but it was also less crowded than it’s neighbor restaurants. Worth a try!
