I am going to preface this review with an apology for it being so long and the fact that I am going to be a “Karen” in this moment because this review has been long overdue… I’ve never said anything until now - This specific Zupas location in Boca Park has completely gone down hill over the years in consistency and quality. The restaurant is hardly ever kept clean, there are always dirty dishes/tables and trash on the floor. The juice/drink area is never kept tidy or even stocked, meanwhile you have a bunch of the young immature staff members in a corner socializing instead. You’re never truly greeted when walking up to wait in line, I’ve even waited about 5-7 minutes in line, out of the 5-6 employees on the line not one of them bothered to make eye contact or even acknowledge me. The worst part is that my order is NEVER done correctly! I order take-out so it’s easy to customize and the receipt with your order details/modifications is even printed on the bag that you take with you! This past visit I did half strawberry harvest with Wisconsin cheddar soup/noodles with some modifications to the salad. I never omit any ingredients, instead I add extras to which I am charged accordingly for. My salad had no apples or cheese in it (which it’s supposed to have), instead they threw a bunch of blueberries in the salad which I of course did not order. I also added extra candied pecans which could barely be found, solid extra $1 charge for nothing on top of asking for extra dressing but instead received the basic small dressing container that was barely full to begin with. To make matters worse, whenever I get my food it looks as if everything was just thrown in haphazardly looking unappetizing. Everything from start to finish is just a joke considering that prices have gone up and yet the quality has been sub par every time to say the least. I’ve called the store to rectify these mistakes but all they do is have me drive all the way back down there to remake my meal that should have been made correctly to begin with. So disappointing because I used to eat there 1-3 times a week! Now I maybe go once a month and they still somehow manage to mess up the order! Replacing the baby kale with arugula was a HUGE mistake and this Zupas location should get some serious training in quality control and customer service because the way things are operating, it is not a good representation of the...
Read moreI love the mushroom soup so much! I have really liked everything I've had here. So many choices. You order at the counter & your food is ready on your tray when you get to the register, so in that way it is fast food, but it's all fresh and wholesome. Servings are large and prices are good. A half-order is good-sized & under $6. The salads are fresh and creative and the soups are flavorful and varied. The "bowls" are good too, but they are pretty much indistinguishable from the salads (when you order to-go, they don't even come in a bowl 😂). Every order comes with a chocolate-dipped strawberry, something I would never buy, but which is actually a nice finish to the meal. Orders all also come with some kind of roll/biscuit thing that I have never seen anyone eat. They just look like blobs of white dough. Who wants that? The dining room is spacious and airy and pretty clean. The staff is genial & efficient. With that kind of assembly-line they can get distracted tho, so it's wise to pay attention to your order as you go down the line to be sure what you end up with is what you wanted. The online ordering is quick and easy, maybe too easy. I really don't understand how food doesn't get taken by mistake, stolen, or worst of all, tampered with, from the pickup counter where it is just left sitting to wait for the customer. Overall, this is one of my fave places to go for a quick bite. Something good for everyone at...
Read moreIf I could give no star I would! I have always gotten amazing customer service here but today not so much not only did I get treated very poorly, the associate that answered was Shay who is very rude, lies about being slammed and having a line out the door and around the corners ( my husband was there picking up my order and there was only a couple people in front of him definitely not out the door and around the corner) Shay did not want to hear what I wanted or try to understand and got rude with me and ended up making me cry bc of frustration. My husband then proceeded to get it but then asked to speak with a manager which was Ty or Tay and she then talk with me on the phone and continued to cut me off, did apologize but was not sincere about it and then while I was trying to talk interrupts me constantly and says I am busy I have orders I have to do and then proceeds to carry on with her business. I get frustrated again and am crying in the middle of trying to explain. I don’t usually cry but I am not feeling well and have a massive migraine this why my husband was trying to treat me to one of my favorite meals!! These so called managers and assistants need to be trained on proper customer service as well as how to talk to people and not talk down on them and making sure that if there is an issue that it isn’t just blown off and made to feel like it’s...
