I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tanuki and I must say, it was one of the most delightful dining experiences I've had in a long time. From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was greeted by the warm ambiance and the welcoming smile of the host. The decor was beautifully curated with traditional Japanese elements and a touch of contemporary elegance, creating a cozy and intimate atmosphere.
As soon as I was seated, I was presented with a menu that offered an extensive selection of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese delicacies. I was pleasantly surprised to find a variety of unique and creative dishes that showcased the chef's talent and imagination. I decided to let the chef surprise me with an omakase experience and I was not disappointed.
Each dish that was served was a work of art, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. The ingredients were incredibly fresh and the sushi was expertly prepared, with a perfect balance of texture, flavor, and presentation. The flavors were bold and consistent, and each bite was a delight for the senses. I especially enjoyed the delicate flavors of the sashimi and the playful presentation of the nigiri.
I would be remiss if I didn't mention the fantastic selection of sake at Tanuki. The menu offered a range of options, from traditional brews to modern infusions, each one carefully selected to complement the food. I had the opportunity to try a few different varieties and was blown away by the quality and taste of each one. Whether you prefer a crisp, dry sake or a smooth, sweet option, you'll find something to love at Tanuki. The sake was the perfect accompaniment to the food and elevated the entire dining experience to new heights. If you're a sake lover, you won't want to miss out on the delicious options.
The service at Tanuki was equally impressive. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive to our needs. They made us feel at home and went out of their way to ensure we had a memorable experience. The attention to detail, from the perfectly prepared food to the impeccable service, made the evening truly special.
In conclusion, if you're looking for a top-notch sushi experience, Tanuki is the place to be. The food is fresh, consistent, and delicious, and the service is exceptional. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience. Book a table today and indulge in the culinary delight...
Read moreDon’t go there! The owner/manager is not customer friendly. The two female waitresses were delightful and the meal was decent but we ordered a large bottle of saki for 2 people and didn’t finish the bottle so we decided to reseal it and bring it home. Nevada state law allows you to reseal unfinished alcohol and bring it home as long as you don’t have an open container in the passenger area of you vehicle. The manager, who doesn’t know nevada law, wasn’t having it, he had the waitress stand in our way at the door to prevent us from leaving…we left anyway and while walking to our car, the manager came out yelling at us that we can’t leave the restaurant with beer…it was a sealed bottle if Saki. I told him is was saki. He then stood behind our car preventing us from leaving and took pictures of our car license plate threatening to call the police. I told him to do as he likes. During these difficult times, restauranteurs should consider themselves lucky to have customers choose their restaurants for dining…this owners approach to customer service is unsatisfactory and we, a 57 year old married couple trying to enjoy a rare evening out, will of course never go there again.
In reply to your comment, I suggest that you read the actual law rather than citing an excerpt from a random legal website. Saki is considered in the class of wine for the purposes of this particular Law in Las Vegas. What I suggest is that an apology is in order for ruining what otherwise would have been a delightful evening with my wife…and, if you aren’t the owner, an apology to your owner for damaging the reputation of his/her establishment with your misguided strong...
Read moreFeb 2025 We had lunch here again after enjoying our last visit. We tried different dishes. Hubby had fried rice which he loved. I had the bento lunch which was delish. It had an assortment of items including miso soup my favorite. The server was very nice, friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was cozy, warm and confortable. The prices are moderate.
We dined here for the first time to try their bento which is hard to find at other asian restaurants. Free onsite parking with handicap parking and access. It's a cozy at home family atmoshere. It reminded me of the mom and pops asian restaurants in Hawaii. Ann the server warmly greeted us at the door and asked us what table we preferred. We had a few questions that she answered patiently. She was extremely friendly, pleasant and efficient. We both had the bento and shared the dragon roll. The selections were very delicious. The miso soup was yummy. The portions were generous. We took home leftovers. She provided chopsticks, napkins and soy sauce. They have specials menu posted on chalk board. We will definitely return to try the...
