Read moreO.M.G. The menu pics LIE! The portions are AT LEAST twice as big as the "plate bowl" in the pictures. My Sechuan beef noodle soup came in a HUGE black bowl. I'd say the rim is nearly 10" wide and there was close to 30 fluid ounces of soup looking at takeout containers, I think maybe more!
Before I even tried it, I got a big plastic takeout cup that had to be AT LEAST 24oz and filled it about a third of the way up to let a friend that was interested try it. Had I known how much soup there actually was, I could have easily filled it with the leftover broth I was too full to eat! I'm not exaggerating when I say one bowl could serve TWO people!
I'm not a fan of stewed beef, so the brisket didn't have the steaky beef flavor I like, but if you like veggie soup etc. It's just fine. It also wasn't what I was expecting flavorwise. Back east, Sechuan (SO HARD TO FIND IN VEGAS! And noodles too! Everwhere serves rice. I'm not a huge rice fan.) tends to be sweet and hot whereas here it tasted very similar to THE BEST ramen noodles... Shin Black! It was as about as hot as 1/4 to 1/2 spice packet of Shin. Very spicy, but not quite munching on a jalapeno hot.
They used REAL noodles too and not freakin' spaghetti like many places do. Look! A black and white bear!
I'm so glad I popped in to grab a menu. Unobtanium Sechuan beef AND noodles immediately sold me. I've gone to a CLOSED Sechuan restaurant in Chinatown and got little results here on Google Maps.
$13 sounded like a lot of money until I saw that HUGE bowl coming at me and after seeing others getting piles of food. The price is fully justified by the portion size! I've paid more and gotten less a few times.
I'm thinking I want to try their 3x spring rolls for $3!!! This is Las Vegas and $3 might get you a can of soda. BTW, the orange soda I got with it was ICE COLD! It was still cold when I was getting a runny nose from the heat and was done. I didn't finish the broth because I didn't want to feel it today.
Service was quick and courteous. The waitress was running around so quick, she coulda used roller skates.
Try and see for yourself. I found a new place right in my neighborhood to go to when I'm in the mood to treat myself better than a $5 In and Out cheeseburger, or want...
Read moreWhen I say I’ve never been happier that a restaurant opened 4 min from my house I’ve never been happier. Kungfu Dumpling is owned by the same person that owns Kungfu Noodle down in Henderson. Whenever I’m at my dad’s down in Henderson I either dine in or order take out for us.
If you want to take a trip through flavor town then you need to come dine here. If I could be in love with a restaurant it would be these restaurants. Every time at both locations the food tastes exactly the same and it’s all delicious. When I go somewhere and love it, it’s about the taste of the food, quality, and quantity. Kungfu restaurants have the best flavor in food. The umami and aromatics in the food are to die for. The spicy wontons and the Szechuan Beef is so freaking good. The teriyaki chicken was delicious, I was trying to pinpoint the flavor to it cause it kinda has a bbq vibe, and it reminded me of the bbq sauce from Wendy’s for the nuggets. If you like that then you’ll love the chicken teriyaki LOL.
Everything was so good. Combination fried rice was yummy, chow mien like any other Chinese restaurant. Soup dumplings my family said had the best flavor.
The place is so clean and spotless. The waitresses were attentive and quick with service. Only thing they need to do is sell that chili oil because it is so good. It is the best chili oil I’ve ever had. I’m so happy I don’t have to drive 30 min now to get their spicy dumplings. I would say this is bad for my wallet opening up by me but honestly it’s so affordable the prices. Everything we got was about $90 and so much food and that’s was perfect for 4 adults and 2 toddlers.
Also that 1 star review person is just a hater cause this place is amazing. From a culinary major that’s worked in restaurants - these restaurants for the price of the food, service, and consistency but has flavorful food alone, is enough to keep...
