I’m Asian and I’ve eaten at enough Asian restaurants to know how things are usually ran. The worse the service, the better the food. Which could be more true with this place. Last night my husband and I ate here and there was only 1 table when we arrived. We placed our order which was simple. 2 bahn mi dac biet and 2 pho dac biet. The lady asked me, “do you know what dac biet is?” And I said, “yes?” I know I don’t look very Asian, but I am Lao, why are you questioning me? Your menu is written in clear English. 5 minutes later, 3 other tables came in at the same time and sat down. All of them Asian. We were brought out our pho which was good, but for some reason they didn’t bring the vegetables and lime. The 3 other tables ordered the same thing and got vegetables and lime. I had to walk up to the counter to ask for it because the waitress wouldn’t even make eye contact with me when I waved her down 3 times. She catered so much to the other tables that 2 left before us. She then brought the bahn mi which was not the ones we ordered, they didn’t have any of the pickled vegetables in it and no pate. There was also raw onions in it which I’ve never had in a bahn mi. When it was time to leave she asked if we wanted a cup for our drink and we said yes, it was never brought. I’ve never experienced as much prejudice in a Vietnamese restaurant until last night and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to come here if you aren’t...
Read moreI was in Vegas this past Tuesday visiting from LA and was in the mood for pho since it was a bit cold that day, I looked up pho on google and pho Vegas looked like the best option, very high rating and many happy customers leaving reviews. I chose to dine in a picked there number #34 beef pho and a order of egg rolls. Service was a bit slow seemed like they were taking a lot of pick up orders at the time, that wasn’t a problem for me though as I wasn’t in any type of hurry. Food arrived at my table and these are my ratings Food 5/10 Service 6/10 (they were busy) Portions size 10/10
The portions of the soup were great, I had never been to a pho restaurant in socal that served such big portions of noodles and meat with an even bigger bowl, I was happy with the amount of food I received at Vegas pho, compared to my usual LA pho spots the pho portions are significantly smaller.
As for the food quality it was a big difference the pho was mediocre at best and so were the egg rolls, if anyone reading my comment here has eaten at Vegas pho and at any socal pho location, you will know there’s a difference in quality that I speak of . With all the being said I finished my food and took off back to...
Read moreI stopped by Pho Vegas hoping to try Bún Chả Hà Nội, based on a recommendation from ChatGPT, but unfortunately the waitress said they don’t have it—though it’s possible there was a language barrier with my Vietnamese. I ended up ordering the #73 Bún Thịt Nướng Chả Giò, which was standard Vietnamese fare.
The restaurant is located in an older strip mall, and the dining room and atmosphere are nothing special. The parking lot can be a bit tricky, especially during busy hours. Prices were reasonable, but with so many Vietnamese spots across Las Vegas, there wasn’t anything here that stood out enough to make me return.
The search for great Bún Chả Hà Nội continues…
