A revised 5-star review **
I recently visited The Egg & I, a popular breakfast spot, to try its unique morning fare. The menu features classic options like steak and eggs, signature sandwiches, and homemade soups. However, the wait time could have been shorter, which dampened the experience despite the friendly staff. When the steak and eggs finally arrived, they unfortunately fell short of expectations. A Delightful Breakfast Experience at The Egg & I New: My recent visit to The Egg & I was a delightful reminder of why this charming breakfast spot holds such a beloved place in the hearts of its dedicated patrons. Renowned for its hearty morning fare and its warm, inviting atmosphere, the restaurant lived up to its reputation and then some.
This time, I decided to treat myself to the Brad Special—a culinary masterpiece that is a symphony of flavors and textures, perfectly showcasing the artistry of a well-crafted breakfast dish. The foundation is made of fluffy, perfectly scrambled eggs, their soft and airy texture serving as a canvas for the vibrant medley of fresh, diced tomatoes, earthy spinach, and tender, sautéed mushrooms. Each bite reveals the rich, melting blend of Cheddar and Jack cheeses that envelop the ingredients, creating a creamy, satisfying experience that dances on the taste buds.
The true star of the dish, however, is the signature Habla Diablo—a spicy, invigorating addition that brings a delightful kick and awakens the palate with its boldness. This fusion of fresh, vibrant ingredients and lively flavors makes the Brad Special an exceptional choice. It offers a satisfying balance that both comforts and indulges, setting a perfect tone for the day ahead.
Reflecting on my previous experience with the steak and eggs—which, while enjoyable, didn't quite reach the heights I had hoped for—the Brad Special served as a gleaming reminder of the hidden gems this menu holds, just waiting to be discovered. Upon my arrival, the bustling vibe of the restaurant was palpable. The wait time was not long and was more satisfactory than anticipated; I found comfort in the attentive and friendly service.
In a city overflowing with dining options, The Egg & I distinctly stands out—not just for its comforting, hearty dishes but also for its exceptional hospitality. This visit has renewed my appreciation for their diverse offerings, and I eagerly look forward to exploring more of their tempting menu during...
Read moreVery disappointed with the service from beginning to end. I visited yesterday morning. Called before coming to make a reservation for 8 people, last said she would put us down it would be 25 mins. Arrived about 15 minutes later after calling AND STILL HAD TO WAIT an additional 30mins. Apparently the person who took the phone order was “in the restroom” & didn’t actually tell anyone to write us down. Not only did we our party have to separately BUT we were given two different waiters. Half of my party got Michelle (they LOVED HER, shout out to her) That’s Michelle for the picture, you’re the best thing about this place. UNFORTUNATELY WE FOR PAULA, short hair, BAD ATTITUDE. When I tell you she was rude from the jump. She whole demeanor was I don’t want to be bothered, like ma’am? Really? Halfway through taken out order AT OUT TABLE, she told us she was going to take another couples order because they were giving her the side eye and she didn’t want them to be upset. SO YOU’RE OKAY WITH US, PARTY OF 4 being upset but not the party of two be arrived before!? Where’s the logic. The other half of our party (who had Michelle) got drinks first, food first, exceptional service! We waited and waited, kept asking about it, Paula just said when it’s ready they’ll bring it out!? Like can you go check BECAUSE WE BEEN WAITING OVER 30mins!! On the tables there are flip cards where you can flip either a smile or a sad face. Definitely had the sad face up the whole time, every time she seen it she came over like “What do you need? Besides your food” THAT’S EXACTLY WHAT WE NEED MA’AM, THE FOOD! Toward the end of our time there our party was able to seat together, wish Michelle should of just taken over BOTH tables, but hey, we got the short end of the stick. We didn’t even enjoy the food, house potatoes was cold, plates looked thrown together. I feel like they forgot our order then after we asked about it so much they threw something together. I visit Vegas quite often, we all do, since we work for the airline AND I WILL NEVER, I mean this with every bone in my body eat at this establishment, EVER AGAIN. And I’ll advise all whom I know to do the same. I wanted to go to Hash House a go go, I bet the group gone listen to me next time I...
Read moreI've been coming to egg and I for many years. In fact my wife and I have been to probably every location in Las Vegas. Also known as egg works. Over the last year they have not only increased their prices, they are now actually very unprofessional business-wise. Why do I say that? In this world of unfortunately things go up cost of living goes up, wages go up. Trust me as a business owner I understand these cost are part of the business.. These things that go up do you have to deal with unfortunately, so does the cost of running the whole building, the water, the power, the gas. We can go on and on. The point is, the unprofessional act is that egg and I/ egg works, now charge you an additional fee to use your credit card.. in the menu as a penalty. So unprofessional and so wrong to put that. And they haven't done that ever. The only places I know that do that are usually small mom-and-pop or and a few Mexican restaurants. The prices are ridiculous to begin with, and then they charge you more to use your credit card. Really? I understand there's cost to use your credit card, but don't penalize the customer. That's part of doing business, hello? Eventually they'll put a surcharge when the power bill goes up... credit cards cost the businesses money...I know So when the power bill goes up next month are they going to charge a surcharge to use that too, well you know you have to have the light on when we walk in.. to me this price gouging is very unprofessional. Look things go up unfortunately, but don't penalize the customer for using something that's been used for years for convenience. I don't even go to gas stations that charge more for credit card. That's very unprofessional and I will not be going back to egg and I or any of the locations , which is egg works. Is it only about cost? Well of course not but the service wasn't too good today either. Just because their portions used to be really big, you can see the cutbacks due to the price of eggs going up through the years. But charging more to use your credit card on top of the high prices that just drew the line. Due to the bad customer service today. I do not recommend any longer because of the price gouging, and I will not be...
