Drive thru line was so slow (at 930 pm!) that I gave up and went home hungry.
Update: Walk-in experience was not much better. After several minutes of waiting behind people whom I thought were in line to order, I discovered that they were waiting to receive their food! (Come on, folks, don't make this harder than it has to be!)
The guy who took my order of "meal #4" (the tenders) apparently thought I ordered 4 pieces of classic chicken. By the time I realized this error (reviewing my receipt), I was resigned to simply take my wrong order and go, rather than try and wait in that line (again) to get it right.
You know what would go a long way to fixing this? (Aside from more efficient service behind the counter.) Kiosks for customers to place orders. McDonald's and Taco Bell have this figured out. High time you ask their advice.
Second update:
Popeye's has lost me as a customer. Not another dime.
I entered the store at 8:50, ten minutes before the unreasonably early closing time. I stood in line behind 3-4 other customers for 15 minutes, and was utterly ignored when I reached the counter. Finally a managerial-looking guy asked if I'd ordered online. When I informed him that I had not and was waiting to place my order, he told me the lobby was closed.
What. The. F*. 🖕😡🖕😡🖕😡🖕😡🖕😡🖕
So again I say: not another f*g dime. Here, or any of your franchises. You are dead to me.
I'll really miss your biscuits.
Btw, my money went to CFA instead. Turns out they make a pretty good chicken tender, too, and manage to treat customers like human beings.

Read moreThe cashier lady taking the orders was as rude as they come. Very dismissive and will cut you off without hesitation just to rush you. We wanted the bacon and cheese sandwich, but we were told they were all out of bacon. I still wanted the #3 even without bacon. She repeatly insisted that I was asking for the ghost pepper sandwich, when I basically just wanted the classic with cheese at this point. I get to the window and after waiting awhile, she cashed us out and handed me the receipt along with the sandwiches. On the receipt it says she charged us for 2 ghost pepper sandwichs. We made it clear that we wanted nothing spicy, so we take out both sandwiches to inspect the insides and find out there is ghost pepper sauce everywhere. We asked if she could serve us what we had originally asked for and she closed the window on my face mid conversation. She did grab the classic sandwiches, but then asked for the ghost pepper ones back to serve to another customer. We had inspected those sandwiches with our bare hands. You should never ask for food back that a customer already had in their possession. Thats DISGUSTING. I worked in fast food once upon a time and taking food back from customers is a huge NO NO. That is a health code violation and the night manager could clearly care less. This was my go to location, but I won't be coming back because I have no idea if my "fresh" food has been in someone else's car before reaching my hands. Whoever the cashier is with the dark lip stick, you need to get your act together and get some better customer...
Read moreWow I can't belive what I just saw. I didn't get her name because the employees don't have name tags, but on my receipt it says host: 60136. We ordered 2 bacon and cheese popeyes sandwiches and got cut off immediately and told to pull up to the drive thru. We hadn't even finished our order and she came on once more before we could order our fries and immediately rushed us again to the front before we could get a word in. Finally after we somehow managed to get a word in to order our fries we pulled up and received our food. She proceeded to give us 2 ghost pepper sandwiches which I unwrapped and verified right there at the window, and touched with my bare hands. We told her the order was wrong by holding the sandwiches out and she corrected our order, but then proceeded to ask and take the sandwiches I touched back, put them back in the foil bag, and throw them right back on the heater to give to another customer. I can't believe she really did that is very unsanitary and a health code violation. Dear future customers be careful and do NOT go here if they care that little about food health and saftey, I don't want to imagine the other horrors that...
