I've just had the most terrible shopping experience of my life, which is saying a lot being that I am a mother of four who does quite a bit of shopping. I decided to try the order through the app and pick up in store feature. I scheduled my pick up for between 10am and 11am and scheduled my and my 4 and 1 yr olds morning around said pick up time. I got there at 10:36am although I had not received a text saying it was ready i figured I'd check and I had no problem browsing the store for 20mins. I check, wasn't ready and so i browsed. Well at 11:40am now we have a problem as the entire point was to not have to spend an hour with 2 small children screaming and getting bored in the store. I complained at customer service at which point a manager was brought over to apologize and make excuses citing how swamped they were, which quite honestly should not have become my issue certainly not to the extent of an additional 40min wait. I was given a $15 gift card which i didn't truly feel was sufficient being that i spent more than that to keep 2 children calm for an hr but whatever i just want to get out of there at that point. He then directs an employee to go handle my order so oh my goodness they hadn't even started my shopping which i found to be even more upsetting. I was told that it would be about another 15min while they gathered my items...... Sooo 40mins later I am just beyond infuriated! I again went to speak with yet another customer service rep and stated how absurd this additional wait time was to which she agreed and said "yea you've been here since before i took my lunch, but unfortunately we only see numbers and have no control over what goes on on the floor" that's your answer to me are you serious? Should i have spoke with a manager again yes i should have, was i way too mad and were my children way too past being in this store ...also yes! I am seriously considering getting a refund for my membership and I would not suggest a membership to anyone after this experience. Are the savings enough to warrant how completely disrespected I felt today or the stress I went through... No, I don't think they are! I would also like to add that in this time my 4yr old had to use the bathroom(of course after almost 2hrs what 4yr old wouldn't have to go) we went in and it was just foul, so now here i am holding my 1yr old on one hip because lord forbid i set him down and he touch anything! Read moreI love shopping at SC over costco except for the exceptionally poor service I get which seems to be the same for every store. I went into this store the other day and they rang up my order using someone else's card and then gave me their card instead of mine. When I called 800 number they couldn't care less. They said I should go back to this store and speak to a mgr. Nope, I'm not driving across town. I tried calling the store several times but they just put you on hold forever. They could care less about the trouble they've caused me. Now I have to go back to my local SC, try to get them to understand and give me another card and fix the receipt so I can return all the items I bought. Guaranteed to waste at least 20 mins of my time and elevate my blood pressure. My membership expires next month. No way I'm paying for another year after all the frustration and hassle I've been thru during the year. Update: they hire the most incredibly incompetent people at this store. Went in again before my membership expired. Bought 2 shirts among other things. Left the shirts in the cart because I didn't want anything to get on them. Got out to my car, looked at the receipt and they only rang up one shirt. So they not only screwed up at the register again (twice in two weeks) but then why do I have to show my receipt at the door if they don't bother to check items? Nope, I did not spend twenty minutes taking it back to the cs desk.
7/23 -- I forgot about this review and posted incorrectly for the gas station. five stars today. I normally go to the pecos store which still looks like april 2020. The pecos store is normally disorganized, empty shelves and not much of a selection, and always remodeling. I happened to be in the area today and was really impressed how different this store is. Better organized and stocked than the costcos I've been to. 180 from the pecos store. Why is that? They even had a special scan and go lane making it much easier to get out without all the hassle. Read moreDISHONESTY and DO NOT VALUE CUSTOMERS. Placed a pick-up order through the app for 9/21. Due to a few items being out of stock at my usual Club, the app switched my order to the 8080 W Tropical Pkwy club. There was no alert or anything that stood out on the order letting me know the pickup location had been changed. As a result, I was waiting for my pickup order at my usual Club, when it was actually at the Tropical Pkwy Club. A customer associate from Tropical Pkwy eventually called my cell, which is when we figured out I was waiting at a different location. She stated that the mix-up happens often when ordering through the app, and that she would return all of the items for me. I thanked her and informed her that I would just go in and purchase the items at my normal Club. A week later I had still not received my full refund from the Tropical Pkwy purchase, so I called the store. I spoke to manager Brent, who assured me he would look into what happened and call me back. It's been over 2 weeks and I still haven't heard back from him. I contacted Sam's Club customer service who confirmed that only 2 of the 6 items were actually returned, and the associate (who pretended she would return all of the items for me) actually marked the remaining items as picked up. I have no choice but to believe that she or someone else at the store took the items for themselves. I'm extremely disappointed with the associate that handled the order and with the club manager, Brent. The least he could have done was research the issue and actually follow up with me to find a resolution. Tropical Pkwy obviously does not value it's customers. I spend thousands of dollars with Sam Club every year for my home and 2 businesses, but they have lost me as a customer for good.
