When thinking Seafood you are already thinking of a more health conscious choice of a meal but that doesn't mean you want your food to lack in other areas like "Flavor" or "Texture" . Unfortunately that's what is what you're risking when dining here. Bland Food and Poor texture FOOD EXPIERENCE :
Undercooked Rice- Did Not Finish , Under Battered fish - Completed with an Assist From Packaged Tabasco Sauce Soggy fries - Completed but Very poor choice of placement and they were used as a heat source to keep the Fish Warm Under Flavored "Street Style " Corn - Honestly A Mockery of Eloté DO NOT ORDER Overcooked Kalimari -Did Not Finish The Texture was Far to tough
All of this I Was Willing to Over Look if at least the Service matched The Pricing as for most places The True Expierence of A Restaurant is Equal part Food and Service.
SERVICE EXPIERENCE:
Where one employee shinned at greeting and even making suggestions on food Items to try while taking our order, others lowered the qaulity of the visit by being less than professional . While eating it crossed my mind that I hadn't received a sauce that was depicted in the photo advertising for the "Sweet Potato Fries" As I brought my concern to the Counter Associate "Tyler" He Informed me that the Sauce I was inquiring about was the "Dynamite Sauce" And Is The "Recommended Sauce " For that item and is why it's paired with it in the photo. Following Tyler's Statement I Asked if there was a Reason as to why I didn't receive it. Giving Tyler the benefit of the doubt of a simple over look. A Benefit he forfeit to instead try and prove a point of "Opinion" at the Exspense unannounced or Unaware to him meant Insulting A Customer.
Tyler then went on to Ask if I Asked about the Sauce ; Which he failed to realize is how I Arrived at the counter in the first place.
What I forgot to mention earlier is that Tyler Served Us The Food and In Fact Asked if there was anything else he could offer Bringing to my attention A Menu of Sauces with The Caption "Flavor Menu" A Menu that Includes Red Salsa, Tartar, A Green Chili, and another Red sauce..
I asked in another attempt to shift blame from the restaurant if the Dynamite Sauce is On The Menu of Flavors he Showed me Earlier. He Answered" No, You Have to ask for it." Accepting his answer That I must ask for a Sauce that is Depicted in a photo with an item to me and most people would suggest that it is served with it.
I asked how come the Dynamite Sauce isn't listed with the other sauces? To which he replied with a Blank Stare,
Acknowledging that he has no control over Marketing. I pivoted to ask "If it's a "Recommended Sauce" how come it wasn't recommended?" To which he replied
" I Don't think the Sauce is good , I think the Chimi Churri Sauce is better "
Flabbergasted by his response I repeated his statement to make sure he understood what he was telling me.
"YOU THINK the Chimi Churri Sauce is better and that is why you didn't Recommend the Recommended sauce?"
To which he responded "Yes in my Personal opinion it's better, " he then chose to shift blame to Me and my assumption By saying even "the Fish up there isn't cooked in that sauce you have to ask for it. " to which I showed him the difference in the Menu where the fish has its flavor listed separately there isn't an option like that for the fries they are simple listed as Sweet Potato Fries with a Photo and Paired with a Sauce.
After Collecting To go boxes to Collect my food so that I can exit.
He then has a Conversation publicly with the Chefs via the Serving Window. Stating that I Should have asked for the Sauce and it's not his responsibility to provide it the chefs Nodding their heads in agreement and laughing. I Decided not to Escalte the Situation.
So In my opinion Tyler Should be Promoted to Head Chef as he knows Better than the Excecutive Chef that Paired the items
And The Chefs in the Kitchen Should be Moved to Upper Managment as They are more interested in Front of...
Read moreIf you’re looking for decent customer service, you might as well go somewhere else because you won’t find it here.
The moment we walked in, the front staff was too busy joking around with each other to even acknowledge us. I get that work can be boring, and maybe they’re just trying to pass the time, but when there are actual customers standing there waiting, maybe they should focus on their jobs? Instead, we were left awkwardly waiting while they laughed and carried on like we weren’t even there.
Then came the whole disaster with the digital ordering screens. One of the employees went back and forth with me about how they should work—except they didn’t actually have the options or features needed to place my order correctly. Instead of offering real help, they just kept insisting the system was supposed to function a certain way, as if that somehow changed the fact that it simply couldn’t do what I needed. Another staff member finally decided to walk around, check for themselves, and confirmed that I was right. Only then did they bother to take my order manually.
And that right there is the biggest issue with this place: they put way too much focus on making customers place their own orders instead of just doing their jobs and offering decent service. It’s like they want to automate everything but can’t be bothered to make sure the system actually meets basic needs—and when it doesn’t, they just act like it’s the customer’s problem.
Now, onto the food. It was... fine. Not great, not terrible, just passable. But when the customer service is this bad, even free food wouldn’t be enough to bring us back. There are too many other places that offer both decent food and a staff that actually acknowledges your existence.
So if you like being ignored, arguing with employees over a half-baked ordering system, and dealing with customer service that feels like an afterthought, then sure—go ahead and give this place a try. Otherwise, save yourself the frustration and go somewhere that actually values...
