Sin Fronteras Tacos — Restaurant in Las Vegas

What an amazing hidden gem. I have had them on my list for months and finally decided to give it a try today and I'm sad that I didn't come sooner!! The moment you walk in the decor is so lovely and beautiful and the staff are all so welcoming. It's pretty large in here and they have table and booth seating.

Our server was Miguel and also a lady who's brother and husband own this spot and they were both absolutely amazing!!

We started with the queso fundido and when it was first brought out there wasn't much cheese on it and they immediately took it back and brought it back out with the perfect amount of cheese (as shown in photos) I opted for the cheese enchiladas with red sauce, usually I go for green sauce but they said theirs is prepared with jalapeños so it's spicier than usual!! (I am a baby and cannot handle spice LOL) but the plating of the enchiladas was absolutely beautiful and everything had such a burst of flavor. The enchiladas probably had the best cheese in it that I've had in a looong time here in Vegas. The salsa was perfect as well.

I ordered food for my dad to go that has certain dietary restrictions and they were so kind and helpful to make him something that will be good for him to eat and I cannot say how special that was for me. I ordered the shredded chicken fries through ubereats, adding guacamole and putting in the note to put all toppings on the side.

The order arrived covered in cheese & sauce, no guacamole, and instead of shredded chicken it had carne asada.

I called back and whoever answered gave me massive attitude. He was rude, condescending, and flippant. He said I would need to order again through ubereats to get the correct replacement and agreed to refund the incorrect items on my first order.

I reordered, meaning I had to pay an extra delivery fee.

This time I decided to try the carne asada on the fries, since it looked good under all that cheese I can't eat, & since I had to order again it shouldn't have mattered.

The same guy called back. My boyfriend answered and the guy chewed him out for the change on the new order.

This is all super upsetting. I regret trying a new place. I don't deserve to be yelled at on the phone when the order was completely wrong & missing an item.

Update: The second order was also wrong, so I called back and this time I guess I got to talk to the owner.

He was much nicer & refunded the order.

This was really frustrating, but I appreciate that they took care of it eventually. Just wish it could have been after one call...

I ordered (2) Sauteed Shrimp Street Tacos with rice & beans, with no onions (around $13.00). Picked up to-go. Unfortunately I didn't look inside of the tacos, I was super hungry. I just slapped a healthy dose of salsa & bit into it😩

One bite into & I almost gagged. I opened the tortillas to find that my shrimp tacos were covered in raw white onions (the onions were diced so it wasn't like I can pick them all out to finish my meal).. So I took out the shrimps, wiped off all of the onions & placed them in the outter tortilla to essentially make a new taco (minus onions of course), to salvage the rest of my lunch but it didn't help.. The shrimp itself had zero seasoning, I mean none whatsoever. Not even a little bit of salt/pepper to give it some flavor 🤏🏼 there was none. It was incredibly bland (& salsa didn’t help).

The beans & rice were old, it was obvious. The batch should've been thrown out IMHO. There was no freshness or flavor to any part of my food. I ended up pulling over to the nearest gas station to throw the entire meal away (it was that bad).

What a waste of money & food. I'm starting to give up on these local corner...
