We has a party of 5. Arrived and were made to wait even though there were tables available. A group of 9 were sat down immediately after going in but we were made to wait. Another 3 or 4 groups were sat down. We finally got called and our server didn't take our drink order until probably 15 to 20 mins later. They had 1 server on our side. We decided to ask for our food along with our drinks because it was taking forever to get attention. Our drinks took another 10 to 15 mins to arrive. Our food took forever and we had no more coffee. Ladies sitting by us asked the manager for coffee (they had been sat at the same time us as) and the manager said "yes" but never came. We all waited again until a server passed by. It took us a good 2 hours to get in and out of there but it was because if the short staffing. Being that it is the weekend and that the place is right by the highway, you'd think they'd know they needed more staff because it was going to be packed. There were lines of people waiting and some people in front of us ended up getting up and leaving because they were so mad. I wanted to as well but we'd already ordered! I had 3 very upset children waiting for their drinks food and even the water took them a good 20 mins to come and bring it after we asked twice if we could have some. The server was nice but the manager needed to step up and at least go table to table asking if we needed anything while his servers served others! Also, my food was cold and stale by the time it was brought out. Didn't say anything because they were already taking FOREVER so I ate what I had because I was hungry. Read moreI've worked as a cook, I did it for 12 years. I know there are days things just don't go right, and everything you sell looks like it was made by a child. I also know that those days are fewer than the good days where you sell your best plates. This doesn't seem to be how the staff here operates.
I ordered a steak, rare, and since I don't care for many sides I do double mashed potatoes. Wife ordered a Philly sans mushrooms, kids got chicken on a stick and spaghetti with fries. The only thing edible were the fries. Steak was obviously left in the window too long, I know what a heat lamp special looks like. The mashed potatoes were more akin to soup than a semisolid mash. Philly meat was burnt and dry, making the whole sandwich a giant piece of cheese steak gum. Spaghetti was also very dry, and the chicken on a stick was rubber. I've never once been upset over paying for a meal, sub standard or on par, until today. $50 for garbage that should've never left the kitchen, and definitely not made it to a table. Cooks are going to sell whatever they can, to their standard, so they don't get in trouble for losses. The server is supposed to catch mistakes the cook tries to hide. This should've been caught. We understand and we are used to waiting for service for a reasonable amount of time, However when you wait for 20 minutes, and then 10 minutes with your hand up for service to ask for hot sauce, jelly, napkins and syrup to get started after your food was already served. We finally were helped and we were not asked anything after that (which we were out of coffee). When asked for a to go box, after 20mins we just got up to leave. After making a comment to the person in front who looked to be a manager since she was dressed casual, all she said was that they were sorry but that's how it is when they are busy! Very disappointed!! I just wanted to make a small suggestion to all the waiters and that manager to always look around to make sure that none of the guest were holding their hand up for more...
