McAlister's Deli — Restaurant in Laurel

To go orders are myster bags. You never know what you are getting.

The menu notes kids meals come with a cookie- you have to remind them and request. The drink order was incorrect, the food was incorrect (partially missing the order and tomatoes were on the sandwich which was an allergen and not preference).

No one comes around and offers refills anymore and tables are not cleaned off but the items such as left over trays are not present but cheese residue and drink rings and crumbs were left over. Thought it was a mistake but found 3 other tables in the same state when dining in.

Portion sizes are never consistent. When ordering a kids meal chicken and broccoli one day you can have a full cup and the next is a 1/4th of a cup. Same goes with...

Alright, so I stroll into McAlister's Deli, and I'm thinkin', "This place better have some good grub, or I'm outta here." And let me tell ya, they delivered. The sandwiches? Huge. I mean, these things are like a meal and a half. And the sweet tea? It's like liquid gold.

The staff? They were on point. They didn't give me any grief when I asked for extra pickles. They just piled 'em on like champs. That's the kinda service I like.

Now, why not five stars, you ask? Well, the place was a bit too clean for my taste. I like a little grime, ya know? Gives it character. But hey, four stars is still pretty darn good. I'll be back for more of that sweet tea and those...

So I ordered a potato with chili and cheese and jalapenos and there wasnt hardly any chili or cheese on it so I choked a very dry potato down, moving on too my Reuben sandwich that I ordered, I'm pretty sure one of the main ingredients on a Reuben is sauerkraut...well mine didn't have even the slightest hint of sauerkraut anywhere on it, it was corned beef, Swiss cheese and a quarter sized dot of thousand island!!! This definitely was not worth the $37 that I paid and the 15 minute drive there to get it, I'm very disappointed in McAlister's!!!! The only half decent item I received was my very watered down...
