Milton's Café — Restaurant in Lawrence

I have been coming to Milton's for more years than I can remember. I've always had a pleasant experience dining in, or just popping in to pick up a Togo today was not that. I walked in, seeing that there was a group waiting for seating outside and a couple inside the doors. I have seen it much more busy. The entryway is small at the new location, so I stepped up to the counter to not be confused as part of the party at the door, to do my business and be out of the way. Everything was great. The waitress started taking my order, and the host(possibly owner) snapped at her to stop that there were other people who were he first I needed to wait. It seemed to take longer for him to stop her and to back out of the transaction than to finish. I could see his interjection made her uncomfortable, and it def did me too. he walked away sat a group wandered around looking at the dining room and his notes then moved a family from one table to the next and finaly walked back up to me I calmy explained I only needed a Togo and I would be out of the way he said he would be right w me then walked again he eventually came back and made me sit down to place a Togo order I said I was fine didn't want to take one of his seats he said you need to sit here to place a Togo wanting to be done w this interaction I sat down he handed me a menu I said I just want a b and g to go he walked away and mumbled something along the lines of you can take care of him now to the original waitress by this time she had her hands full and was busy helping her customers so I waited another waitress came by and asked for my order confused why I was sitting g at the bar for a Togo. this interaction would have gone so much better, and I would not be considering taking my business away from and not recommending this amazing Lawrenc staple had he not been rude. , The food and both...

Absolutely by far the worst service I have ever received ever. I understand it's busy,my friend waited for our table. No big deal, it's Sunday lots of people out and about. We were seated pretty quickly but when we ordered our drinks we weren't told they were iced. When we mentioned it, she just sat them down with 'oh sorry, no they're iced only" so maybe state that on the menu. Then my friend hadn't even finished her food, our tickets were brought out and multiple times we were asked if we were done or needed anything else (my friend is still eating). The waitress even flipped over the metal tray looking to see if my friend had added her card. Then after another 10 or 15 minutes I asked for more water and she brought us to go cups and basically asked us to leave. She stated they were busy and people were waiting. We were both stunned. She came by a few minutes later and again asked if we needed anything and if not we needed to go. I told her I understand being busy but have never ever in my life been asked to leave a restaurant because of taking to long. We'd been there about an hour. I would give this a 0 but there's no place for a 0 and me and 5 other family members went to melt in for breakfast Sunday July 24th 2022 Party of 6 We entered into the Establishment very excited because we It was not aware that it was a block owned establishment so it was very excited we wanted to support the black community well we stood in line Waiting for the waitress to see that the owner Milton came king and address us as how many people were in our party and we're not party and that's all he said he was kind of rude then some white couples came in a party at 3 and then a party of 2 And he sat till now he overlooked us he target around and did not acknowledge us anymore and act like you have talked to one of my white dresses so we kind of got upset and we didn't cause anything or anything and we just proceeded to leave and went to another establishment to eat that was much betthat was much better we were never ever trying to support miltoi'd like to support Milton's cafe I don't care how good the food is being disrespectful to customers...
