Went to enjoy dinner with a friend this evening. The flowers and patio-beautiful. Our service from Ruby was wonderful. The spinach and cheese raviolis unfortunately came with unexpected protein—a BUG—which I discovered on my fork as I was about to eat the other half of a ravioli (after I had eaten almost half the plate, so not sure how many bugs may have been consumed-eww). I was quiet about the situation as I wasn’t trying to bring attention to the other guests dining, and again, Ruby was wonderful and absolutely disgusted at the bug. I was asked multiple times what to replace my meal with and that it could be made to-go even-I finally said okay. Disgusted at a bug being in the plate of half eaten raviolis, I lost my appetite fully. But she brought it in a box, kindly—later bringing the bill. When I questioned it being full price (not mentioning to her it was double the cost of my original order) but again this was not her fault. She asked the manager on staff (Nicole) what to do... Ruby apologized as she handed me the full bill. So I guess, perhaps check for bugs/bug larvae and maybe ensure the food is fresh before serving it and perhaps talk to management because that was handled unprofessionally and if the owners were there, I feel they would have handled the situation much more properly.

The Mad Greek introduced me to Greek Foods and I’ve been hooked ever since coming here back years ago- I think my buddy Chad brought me there first in 2017. Beautiful restaurant, love the artwork and the music they play- lots of traditional and modern Greek music. Meals range in price depending on what you get. But all fairly priced, at least in my opinion and I do DoorDash and Instacart for a living. The restaurant itself is just so magnificent that while you’re eating- you’ll find yourself gazing at all the artwork and just enjoying your authentic Greek cuisine! I usually get the Mad Greek Combo which for beginners of Greek culture- it’s an essential. You get a little taste of all the best they got! Tis’ why it’s named “Mad Greek Combo”- the meal is $15.99 BUT it’s a FULL PLATE WORTH! Absolutely worth it! Sometimes a little pricey is just because it’s so damn good! (I’m a $1-$5 menu guy at most places 😅) But I love this place and all the waiters and waitresses (everyone who works there) are friendly, serve ya well, offer refills and overall do a damn good job of keeping the authentic feel of the restaurant pristine! Their Bier is damn good too! 🍺 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ 🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

We've been on the road for 5 days and have chosen a different ethnicity to eat each night. Tonight we chose Greek. We sat outside and didn't notice the inside of the restaurant so, I can't comment on it. Our waiter was friendly, and knowledgeable. We chose to share the Grecian mixed grill. I swapped out the rice pilaf for Briam, and he ordered a side of Greek french fries. The food came out well plated and the waiter made sure to let me know the fries were breaded and not celiac safe. Peter said his pork was good, a very tasty souvlaki. The fries were ok. I ate the grilled chicken. It was well cooked, but had a hint of rotten to it. The greek green beans tasted like canned green beans, but they were edible. The Briam was a mix of undercooked carrots and over cooked squash. But, again, edible. I'd probably order the Briam again. The place offers Italian food as well, and if we were to come back, I would give it a try next time. Overall, a nice dinner. The temperature outside was nice, our waiter the right amount of attentive, and the food decent.

I come here regularly with colleagues to celebrate certain milestones with a lunch out. The food is always amazing and the servers are awesome even during a busy lunch rush. Today, while waiting for my colleagues to arrive, I watched a group of women try to smoke on the patio. Two different servers politely asked them to move away from the eating area. They moved one table over and while the servers were inside, began smoking again. Another server - Carl - came out and politely requested that they move away from the dining area and down the street to smoke. One older woman became belligerent with him as he again calmly reminded them of the rules and asked them to move away. They continued to yell at him, calling him names and saying he was being rude and inconsistent. Still he exhibited calm but firm responses, the best example of refusing to escalate a tense situation. The women eventually gathered their things and left the premises. I’m always impressed by the career servers here, but especially today.

If you're looking for a popular dining destination on Massachusetts street, the Mad Greek restaurant is a great option. You can park on the street that runs parallel, which is convenient. The interior has an old-fashioned style with some tasteless accessories, but it has a certain charm that adds to the dining experience. The service is fast and pleasant, which is always appreciated. The menu features basic Greek and Italian dishes, and while the taste is average for this type of restaurant, the food is still enjoyable. The drinks are a little light on alcohol, but they're still refreshing and pair well with the food. The prices are average for this type of restaurant, which is reasonable considering the location and quality of the food. The portion sizes are also average, so you won't leave feeling overly stuffed or hungry. Overall, the Mad Greek restaurant is a solid choice for a casual dining experience. While the taste is not exceptional, the service, atmosphere, and prices make it a worthwhile visit.
