It was grand opening day and there was no large crowd or long line. I understand orders take more time during grand opening and was patient. However, they ran out of the Vietnamese coffee drink I ordered and told me after 20-30 minutes of waiting. They offered to make a different drink so I just went with the dalgona coffee which was similar. More time past, and I got buzzed for only one of the 2 drinks I ordered. The same girl asked me if I was waiting on something else, to which I said yes, that she asked me earlier what I wanted as a replacement for the Vietnamese coffee they were out of. The staff did not seem organized with the ticket orders and after waiting 30+ minutes total I felt a bit annoyed. Luckily today I was free otherwise I would’ve had to leave without the drinks i ordered. The banh mi bo kho I ordered came out first, way ahead of my drinks. The bo kho tasted good and had a decent portion of meat but I would have preferred more meat to fat ratio. The banh mi was fresh and good with the bo kho. The drinks tasted good but not worth that long of a wait. Overall, the place is nice with a good assortment of drinks and food/light snacks. But, if the service and time efficiency doesn’t improve, I wouldn’t recommend coming unless your whole day is free.

At my favorite pho place I know exactly what I am getting: rich broth, generous portions, and authentic flavor. I decided to break my routine and try this spot because of its high Google reviews, but clearly those reviewers have not had good and authentic pho. I ordered the pho tai and was stunned at how far off the mark it was. The portion was tiny compared to other places in the area yet the price was the same. The broth was lifeless and bland with zero depth, and there was no salt anywhere, only “seasoning sauce” which is not a replacement. The noodles were wrong from the start, fettuccine style, overcooked, soggy, and waterlogged, plus my meat was freezer burned. For the same price I could have enjoyed a large flavorful bowl at countless other places. Yes, the decor is beautiful, but it is all for show, style over substance. If you want an Instagrammable background maybe this is your place. If you want actual pho go anywhere else. In the end, the soup was so bad I could not finish it. I will not be back.

October 31st, what could have been..... My first and last time in this type of establishment. Asked counter server his recommendation on a juice (keyword: juice) type drink. He recommends their Lemon Mojito. Sounds delish! One the first sip I could tell this drink was cheap lemon/lime soda....bleh I explained to the server my sensitivity to carbonation and was interested in trying another flavor but the counter person refused the exchange. Citing some vague policy about how they prepare drinks. Sorry to say but the freestyle machine at McDs makes better drinks, by far. Very poor customer service and a missed opportunity to provide a better customer experience ....especially for people that frequent downtown. Better luck next time.....

I support this place quite often. Many times my coworkers and I order from work and my kids and I typically enjoy eating and grabbing teas here. Today after spending nearly $70 my daughter accident spilled a drink she only took ONE sip of. I politely asked them if they could remake it, all things considered, and they said no. Honestly I think this was rational seeing as how she had just one sip. This was extremely disappointing to experience in a place I highly rate and patronize.

Update:

I just need to respond because this is also disappointing to see a response that I am now the person that was too angry. I’m sure you all have cameras that can be reviewed. The staff were never going to remake the drink. I was in the store a good 5-10 minutes cleaning our table after the spill and no one ever mentioned remaking the drink. You can see and probably hear on the camera where I very politely mentioned the spill and then asked if the drink could be made. I was politely told no. I then go back to the counter to say hey there’s a spill because the spill was too large for us to clean with napkins. And then I went back again to the counter to ask for to go supplies. Never was a remake offered in those 3 interactions and I was NEVER upset with staff. I understand you want to protect your business but you don’t turn it back on the customer who was actually polite.

Ultimately this was a child and it was not proper business etiquette. I would have been more understanding if it was a drink of an adult and/or if the drink was...

I was so happy to be able to support this new cuisine option in DTL on opening day! We got there about 30 minutes before opening so we're closer to the start of the line. It did still take quite a bit to order and get our food, but we went there with extra patience as we know opening days have their unique sets of challenges for new restaurants! We got a pork bahn mi, Korean short rib bahn mi, citrus strawberry green tea, Thai milk tea, salted chili wings, and 6 flavors of macarons. Both bahn mi's were well-balanced with ingredients and super delicious. I wish they had a tiny bit of a kick but that's easy enough to adjust on your own with sriracha. Our drinks were both really refreshing and tasty. The salted chili wings were my absolute favorite item of the day. Salty, savory, umami flavor and perfectly crispy exterior while still being tender inside. It was hard to choose just 6 macaron flavors as they had many yummy sounding flavors. I'd highly recommend checking them out. If you go any time soon, do so knowing that you may be there for a while but you're supporting a small owned local business AND the food is totally worth the wait. If you don't think you want to risk having to wait too long, give them a few weeks and try then. You won't be disappointed! We also felt well attended to by all of the staff that we...
