Buyers BEWARE!! I bought a used Samsung OTR Microwave. When the sales person approached me, she stated all sales were negotiable. The sticker price was $175.00. They wouldn't budge below $160.00. Whatever. I needed it, as my 19 year old Sharp had finally cooked it's last bag of pop corn. $160 it is. I asked if it had all the hardware, & manuals. No manuals, she gave me ONE mounting bracket, and TWO bolts, & said all of their appliances have been thoroughly inspected by their technician & in excellent working performance. Then she asked me if I wanted it delivered for $45 extra. I giggled & said "no thanks, I can fit it in my truck". She informed me that without the delivery, there are NO REFUNDS, only store credit. Honestly, the microwave looked fine on the outside, & I just wanted to get it home. Before I took it out of my truck, I called Samsung to order the manuals &all the parts to the mounting kit. The Samsung tech had me go outside to locate the model info plate, that's when I noticed, on the inside of the microwave, a huge melted hole!! Immediately the rep transferred me to a supervisor and he instructed me to TAKE IT BACK!! He also asked if I have contacted medical staff, lawyer or home insurance yet. He explained there is electrical problem in the microwave heating circuit. This is a fire hazard and I should not use this microwave, or even plug it into an outlet. This is not something that can be fixed! The supervisor then asked me the the store name, phone number, & location of where I purchased this microwave, as it should have never been sold to ANY household consumers. It was only 3 hours later that I returned the microwave to the store & the manager & sales person just kept saying, "NO REFUNDS. NO REFUNDS." When I showed the manager the inside wall of the microwave, and informed her that I had contacted Samsung, She was very compliant, & gave me my money back, minus the 15% "restocking fee". It was a $25 mistake I will never make again!! Showed in person to the store and over the phone to complain as it was well within the warranty. Came out to my house twice to repair with no resolution of issues, both times did not arrive on time or within window and had to call same day to remind and wait additional time for same day or another day. They confirm appointments but arrive and answer on their convenience. Currently awaiting a replacement (not of my choosing) but of similar brand/model and hopefully price and size. I was told last week Thursday that the washer would be arriving but it was a no call no show. I was contacted the following day saying that they would be coming Monday (today) to drop off, but again, they no call no showed. Tomorrow I will contact again, In the meantime reporting to BBB. We contacted the store and they had it picked up and fixed. It took about a week or two for repairs, but they gave us a great loaner (the same day they picked up my machine) until it was repaired. Since theyāve repaired it and brought it back to us, it has been working great ever since. I wanted to wait almost a year before I gave a review, to make sure we wouldnāt have anymore problemsā¦and fortunately it has been working properly ever since.
