Jamba — Restaurant in Layton

Updated review 10/11/25: My husband and I came in to get two Pumpkin Pie Crunches and decided to try a Pumpkin Smash Bowl. I told the cashier that we’ve heard great things about the bowl. She told us that to her it had too much pumpkin for her liking. We like pumpkin, so we decided to try it anyway.

When our order was ready, there were two Pumpkin Pie Crunches and one Pumpkin Smash Smoothie. When we asked about the bowl, the cashier immediately blamed us and said we miscommunicated our order. I will be the first to admit and apologize when there’s miscommunication, but I really felt like we communicated this thoroughly. We mentioned the bowl several times, but we could hear her telling her coworkers that we ordered the one thing….and then her coworker or supervisor mentioned “customer satisfaction.”

They made it right and we didn’t get charged extra for the bowl, but I have a bad taste in my mouth with the way the cashier handled the situation and didn’t take any accountability.

10/10/25: I highly recommend the Pumpkin Pie Crunch! I'm not even huge on pumpkin pie, but I LOVE this drink. It's like a delicious pumpkin pie times ten! The coconut mimics whip cream and the granola mimics the crust. If I could have one every day I would!

This location was so nice and clean. The tables, chairs, and floor had all been wiped clean. Other locations aren't as clean as this one.

I've been going in weekly for my lady and myself the last two months as a treat. The amount of times I've come in and have seen them standing around doing nothing is astounding. Even so much as the manager there last week said off handedly to them "Are you going to ignore, or help the customers?"

They also do not pay attention to what they are making. I used to work at a Jamba Juice, and as such, I know the recipes. I had to stop an employee making my drink because they were making it incorrectly (as in, adding dairy in a dairy free drink because I'm lactose intolerant) Another week, they made the smoothie so poorly, it was as if I was literally drinking juice, not a smoothie.

I like Jamba, I really do. I've not had issues with any other Jamba but this one. I seriously recommend getting it, but not here. They need to drastically retrain some of their employees, or keep a better eye on them. Because in two months I've had 2 good experiences.

What leaves me to my review today. I wasn't paying as much attention to what they were making this time (my fault i guess) and they put dairy in it... Again.

HORRIBLE experience at this specific location. I was in town visiting family and we decided after some shopping that we should enjoy some smoothies. Never in my life have I ever been treated so disrespectfully by employees. Usually Jamba Juice has very upbeat and happy workers, but this specific location, namely the manager in charge at the time was terrible. The cash register person had her name tag say that she was in training but she was nice and we were patient with each other, but when she would ask her manager in charge questions or anything, she would seem very annoyed and she even said out loud and clear enough for me to hear that I'm pretty sure my order was "giving her a headache". So, I'm not sure how she got thus far with her attitude and customer service or if she was having a bad day or something but I was always taught to never show any negative actions or attitude in front of customers and she did the very opposite.

On a positive note, the other team members on the clock were very nice and respectful, it's just a shame their leader was lacking that...
