I went here late on a Sunday night (12:30 am on Monday Oct 26, 2015) because my husband and I were craving a favorite burrito of ours, the Texano. The drive-through experience was nice; once I received my burritos I raced home (less than 5 minutes away) so that my husband and I could enjoy the burritos while they were still hot and fresh. When I got home I handed the brown paper bag containing both our burritos to my husband and he eagerly removed his a took his first bite. His look of delight quickly changed to a look of disgust as he removed a hard, black, cold piece of potato from his mouth. He then stated that his entire burrito was cold, and the contents wrapped up in the tortilla were stale. i removed my burrito from the bag and noticed that mine was no different. My husband said that these two burritos, costing over $11, were completely unacceptable and that we had to go back and get fresh ones. We went straight into the lobby when my husband and I arrived back at the restaurant. I placed the burritos on the counter, with the receipt, and explained to the same lady that helped me the first why I had come back. She called to the cook in the back and he joined her at the register. She then took one look at the receipt and spoke to the chef in Spanish. Then they both laughed. and turned immediately defensive. She said to us, like were the biggest idiots in the world, that "the burritos are not hot because they have sour cream in them." Like I said earlier, this is a favorite item of ours; we’ve had it many times and we know that, despite the sour cream, the burritos can be hot to the touch and can be quite fresh and delicious. We weren’t about to argue with this lady and demand fresh food, which is what we wanted, so we simply asked for a refund. She was quick to refund our money and get us out of the store. I used to enjoy coming to this restaurant, and had been here many times before. I will never again visit this location, or any other Rancheritos or Beto’s, ever again. I took my refunded money and went to the grocery store to buy the ingredients needed to make my own burritos, which is what I suggest you do if you are thinking about heading to this place for...
Read moreI went through the drive thru, and the woman taking the order had a major language barrier. We asked for nachos with no cheese and only pico and guacamole. The woman repeatedly back only cheese and talked over my husband, who was trying to correct the order. She replied, "You want another nacho?" We explained again chips with only Pico and guacamole again, and she sighed and told us the amount. We get the food, and it's covered in cheese. My husband went in and went up to the cashier at the counter and she was very polite and took the nachos to be remade and the same lady at the drive through took the nachos out of her hand and put it back infront of my husban and said, "if you order guacamole it comes with cheese" and argued with my husband you can only order the nachos with cheese. We have been loyal customers and have gotten the nachos before without cheese over 20 times. My husband had to speak Spanish to the woman due to her arguing and trying to shove the food at my husband to take home. The chef had to correct her in spanish that if customers dont order cheese, dont put it on. He did a wonderful job, and she was very rude. We will not be back to our favorite place if that horrible woman is taking orders poorly and forcing customers to take the wrong order she mistakenly put in. What a letdown for such a simple order. I'm allergic to the dairy she tried to force us to take. It was such an uncomfortable situation for my husband and the other employees she treated poorly. She walked off when the chef was talking to her. She is not a...
Read moreOrdered fish burrito, and they said $9.99, I was wondering fish got pricy. Normally only like $7. So I checked with the speaker few times, and double checked at the window if it’s fish burrito, the lady take my card didn’t say anything. So I got my receipt, it said steak and egg. Then I have to drive around the drive though and wait inline again, told them I got wrong burrito. I need fish, not steak and egg, And who every talk to me is kind laughing said, it has egg in it. Anyway, she couldn’t understand me, so she have to find someone to talk to me, then they got it, I wanted fish burrito. Then I got to the pick up window, they handed me the fish burrito and take the stake burrito back. The thing is not how long I waited in line again, and not they couldn’t understand me. The thing is right now during Covid-19, and they take food back from customers who get wrong orders. I am kind worry about what they do with that food already been out to someone’s hand. And will they sell it to other customers. I might get the food from someone else take it back. I like their food, but don’t want to take any chance to get sick, especially during this...
