The owner needs to pay for quality employees. I know the kids are trying, but you have to give people proper professional training to represent your brand.
This is also a great learning experience for teens learning to get into the workforce. But If you choose to hire them for less so you don’t have to invest in them. You’re not just failing them but also yourself.
I pulled up to the menu and ask for a grilled chicken sandwich. The menu shows fries and drink included in value meal.
I pulled up to the window. The server asked if I ordered a chicken sandwich. I told them I wanted a grilled sandwich but a regular sandwich would’ve been fine also.
The server hands me a box and explains they were able to change it. I open the box and there is cup of mashed potatoes? I explain I ordered fries but she gave me mashed potatoes and she looked blankly at me.
After a few awakened moments I asked for a fork for my mashed potatoes, she gave me another confused look and repeated “a fork???”
I responded with “yes a fork please”
She left for a minute then came back with a fork and told me to have a nice day.
I’m a reasonable person, we all make mistakes. If she had just asked me if I wanted mashed potatoes or fries I would’ve been fine with it. I would’ve even been fine if she said “oh I’m sorry I forgot to ask if you wanted fries or mashed potatoes.” I would’ve taken the mashed potatoes and gone about my day. No apology, no empathy, no recognition for the mistake.
The chef must’ve been having a bad day or something…. The bottom bun was so saturated from mayonnaise. I just ate the chicken with my fork. The bottom of the wrapper was cold from the amount of mayonnaise, the sandwich had. The sandwich was wrapped up less than a minute from when I received it.
And I still gave them a tip!!
I was really disappointed in this experience. If you are the owner, feel free to reach out to me, I would be happy to have a conversation with you to help improve your business.
Update: I went into this restaurant again after some time and the service was amazing. The food was excellent and the quality improved 100x! The fries were amazing and the grilled chicken sandwich hit the spot. Everything was piping hot off the grill. Thank you for hearing your...

Cars ahead of us were PULLING OUT OF LINE 7 cars deep and then we waited and waited at the speaker and NO ONE GREETED. I even CALLED FROM THE LINE and it went to voicemail. A car behind honked so I finally got out and walked up to window. Only teens appeared to be on site and simply said "oh the drive through notification didn't show anything". Things happen, so now the order is taken and my husband stated we have never ordered before. We assumed toppings would be on the burgers and never asked if we wanted any. Then at the window our food was given then receipt, with an angry line behind us we pulled away realizing we never got the drinks. I feel if someone with more experience with customer services issues was on the scene someone could have gone out to address the customers and line. We were not offered an apology. An item could have been comped since we made the effort to notify that you were losing business. I do value the efforts of teenagers and I worked in this industry as well as a teen however I learned from older ones how to handle customers and issues when there were failures. You team was not poised to do this today or any one in charge of the shift was not paying enough attention. The COLE SLAW had a green mark on the container, we bought it on Saturday 8/29/20 . It SMELLED OLD and the bottom of the container shows that wherever it is being stored is UNCLEAN. BLACK FILM with a large black crumb on the bottom of a white container??? Something needs a deep cleaning. The drive thru experience was so annoying it was going to take outstanding food to offset the poor service. The gals are friendly but lacking initiative. If your used to working a drive thru something should strike you that no orders are coming in on a Saturday afternoon when you are in a position to see cars driving in. I'd love a refund or voucher to try once more. With a long line like you had I don't want to write this location off for good after 1 bad experience. I hope this feedback helps. I am a business owner and understand things happen in a fast paced...
Read moreAs I say in nearly every one of my reviews, I take the star ratings very literally. If a restaurant has good food, reasonable service and a clean venue, it gets 3 stars from me. Any deficiencies will cause me to lower the number of stars by one or two. If it's exceptional in any area I'll give it an extra star and if it's exceptional, the best I've ever eaten, as good as it gets, I'll give them 5 stars.
I'll cut to the chase, I've eaten there three or four times during the past couple of years. Yesterday I went to get some early dinner for the wife and I. I keep wanting to give this place 4 or 5 stars, like the Maddox Ranch House and Maddox Drive In in Perry Utah so richly deserve, but I just can't. I don't dock it any points for the venue, it's a drive-through with seats, if you want inside seating this isn't your place - there's a KFC down the street and a Popeye's over on Antelope if you was fast food chicken. They fall short on service, I don't mean the non-existent wait staff, I mean the simple stuff like getting your order right. They messed up my order, but it was messed up in my favor. I didn't discover that they gave me a couple extra pieces of chicken until I got back to the house, but they messed it up nonetheless. Then there's the matter of the most important part of a restaurant - the food. The chicken is good enough. I'm not a particularly big fan of cornmeal breading on fried chicken, but it's OK. I understand that some like it and give it high reviews. If I were grading the chicken alone I would give it 3 starts - it's good. I also order a turkey steak. I LOVE Maddox turkey steaks. I've never had a bad one at the Ranch House or the Perry Drive-In. I've never had a bad one that I've cooked myself. I had a bad one yesterday. It was dried out and inedible. The same with the rolls and cornbread. My wife ordered their 8 piece chicken nuggets and she couldn't finish them. Three were enough.
I hate writing reviews like this, but honestly, it seems like they're not even trying. I will continue to be a loyal and enthusiastic customer of the Maddox restaurants in Perry, but I'm done with this one. There are too many good options within a couple...
