Came with my children this afternoon and did a scavenger hunt. It was fun to find all the different flags on rocks. The museum is very interesting and has a lot to see. My children enjoyed learning about it. Just one thing: I appreciate the Israeli flag on a rock as I am Jewish but why display one of the Palestinian flag? It's not a state and the US does not recognize it as a state or a nation. There is no such place as Palestine and never has been. Palestinian terrorists attacked Israel on Oct 07 2024 and brutally murdered 1,200 Israelis. Please remove this flag rock out of a hundred other countries you could have picked literally any other one of them not Palestine. Israel is still at war with them eliminating Hamas and terrorists in the whole region. Israel is fighting for it's very survival and life and right to defend itself. Please remove the rock with the Palestinian flag. It's offensive. This museum should not be representing terrorists in any sort of way. Please replace this one with another like Mexico I didn't see the Mexican flag. I didn't see a US flag rock. Maybe this one? I much enjoyed my visit to the museum I just do not approve of seeing the Palestinian flag on one of the rocks in the scavenger hunt. It has no place...

Read moreThis free museum is incredible. The exhibits are unique, informative, and change at regular intervals. The kid's area is a fun space. It's nice to have things throughout the museum that are interactive. A particular favorite is the monthly rock scavenger hunt. Sometimes, you can ask for a cabin tour. They also have archival books, photos, and documents about the area, early settlers, Verdeland Park, and more. It is Layton's hidden gem in...
