Dairy Queen — Restaurant in League City

I love taking my kids here for ice cream at least once a week. I even pass up 2 other Dairy Queens just to come to this one because the older Indian lady normally works the day shift and she makes her blizzards as if she’s serving the founder of Dairy Queen himself PURE PERFECTION!

However tonight I drove through to purchase a couple of blizzards and started to head home. A few minutes into the drive I decided to take a few bites of my blizzard and it tasted very bland. I turned on my light in my car and I noticed my blizzard wasn’t the dark color it normally is. I proceeded to mix it up a little and instantly noticed my blizzard wasn’t mixed well at all. I had huge sections of strictly vanilla ice cream and no cheesecake at all in my blizzard. By this time I was already on 45 headed home and not willing to turn around.((not to mention I paid for extras in my blizzard and did not receive them)) I proceeded to call and the teenage girl transferred me to the manager in which PEDRO lied and told me his name was Humberto ((he’s been with DQ for forever and I’ve had several interactions with him in the past so I know what his real name is)) Pedro questioned the team on who made the blizzard in which I personally saw HAMID “the owner” make it and Hamid stated he made my blizzard right and added what I requested. I informed Pedro that I would be in the next day to either get a refund or to remake the blizzards and he straight up told me “No he couldn't do either for me” I told him I would put the blizzards in the freezer and bring them the next day with the receipt but that wasn’t an option either. Needless to say both blizzards were crappy, not worth the drive, calories , or the money.

Sad to say something that was once a weekly family tradition for my kiddos will come to an immediate stop!

Now I can understand why they’re rated so low. Don’t waste your money, calories, or time at this one they will not try to...

I ordered a oreo cupfection, a strawberry sunday and a #9 with a sprite. I get to the window and the teen girl takes my debt card and processed it, and handed me my strawberry sunday. Few moments go by she hands me my card and oreo cupfection. Another moments go by and she hands me my bag of food. Closed the window. I stay at the window cause I'm missing my drink after so many minutes she opens the window I'm like "I didn't get my sprite" she closed the window to talk to another employee and then states to me that I didn't pay for a drink. I'm shook because I ordered a number nine not three tacos. I even stated can I get a sprite with that. Carleigh P. Tells me that she needs to charge me for the drink. I'm a little taken back and was hesitating because at the time I was confused. She again shuts the window and consults with someone not in sight. Reopens the window and again was saying that she needed more money because I wasn't charged... after going back and forth with me about how is "only 2 dollars" in a sarcastic tone like I don't have the money for it?!? They made me feel belittled because I was questioning on why I was paying more it's not about the money I had the 2 dollars. It's was about principal that I had asked for a number 9 combo. She didnt even give me an option to choose just the tacos or a combo. Which if she was unsure she should have asked if i wanted the meal or just the tacos. I even apologized to her because I couldn't understand the way she was delivering on why there was an issue. Her whole body language and tone and attitude changed. So I asked for a refund and that seemed to be more of an issue for them apparently because I paid with card.? As much as I love dairy queen it disappoints me to know i have to be extra specific to accommodate the teenagers working because they can't take the time to hear what I have to say when ordering. Tonight I went in and attempted to redeem my free blizzard and purchase 2 kids meals, #1 and a steak basket and 3 additional blizzards... The app wouldn't show redeem so they wouldn't honor it even though it is clear to see it hadn't been used! While we waited for our hot food they brought out 2 of the 4 blizzards with lids... So they didn't have to flip them... Ummm I didn't ask for lids... The next 2 they brought and dumped these half melted blizzards without any mix-ins except like 3 pieces of cookie dough but didn't flip them... When I questioned them it took 5 minutes to write the coupon for a free one on my next visit... And they refused to remake cause it was fine... Ugh... And the manager that was overall rude said here was my only free blizzard he couldn't help if I let them melt... Seriously if ice cream melts in 6 minutes while we wait for you to make my meals and write a coupon your store is too hot or you gave me bad blizzards to begin with! Seriously the amount of mix-ins in all of the blizzards (I had 4)was the amount that should have been in 1!i am so disappointed because my melted blizzard didn't satisfy... And my hamburger was these Patty that was broken into 3 pieces them placed on a bun... That they put half the bottle of ketchup on to glue the burger back together... I normally will talk myself out of going here... Next time I for sure will! I would definitely NOT...
