Dawn Donuts — Restaurant in League City

My wife and I found Dawn Donuts one day when we were too busy to cook breakfast and ever since, we’ve been returning for those delicious apple fritters! They've really nailed it with their breakfast food. The standout for us has been their croissant sandwiches (bacon for the wife, sausage for myself). We've had it delivered a few times, and it always arrives perfectly - the croissant is buttery and flaky, and the sausage is just the right amount of savory.

I've also heard rave reviews about their kolaches, and though we haven't tried them yet, they're definitely on our list. If they're anything like the other items we've had, I'm sure they'll be fantastic.

But again, the real reason we keep ordering from Dawn Donuts is for the delicious donuts and those apple fritters. They're absolutely delightful! There's something about the combination of the sweet glaze and the tender apple pieces that makes these fritters irresistible. And the best part? The little surprises they often include in our order. It's usually an extra treat or two, which always brings a smile to our faces. It's this kind of personal touch that makes Dawn Donuts special to us.

This has been my donut shop for 3 years. I’m writing a new review because of the past year the customer service has plummeted along with the quality.

TLDR: Rude employees, rushed on small order, lied about donut filling, after 3 years I won’t be back.

My experience today 11/9/24 was the worst it’s ever been. Not only was I rushed through my order by a young man who didn’t make eye contact. But he was in such a hurry I ended up having to go back in to get the rest of my order. This was 6 kolaches and 3 donuts. When I got home and cut the strawberry filled donut to give to my youngest I found this…(pictured) thinking this was no big deal I’d just go get it corrected (I live across the street) was told this is how they are always filled. Dawns Doughnuts goes above and beyond in a special way. They had no way of knowing but my son lost his great grandmother recently and I wanted to give him his favorite doughnuts, cherry filled. I ordered online and selected two 'filled doughnuts' and under the special instructions I said, "these are for my son, he's had a rough week. Can you please fill with cherry, or another red fruit please."

I recieved a written notice on the package saying they didn't have cherry but raspberry and strawberry. They also included extra and gave a heart on the package.

My son was very toughed by the gesture and I was blown away by the amount of care given to this order.

The food taste great, the prices are reasonable and the customer care is through the roof. Wonderful place to get a bite to eat and start your day with a full belly...
