Hands down the best seafood I have ever eaten in my life! And unique and incredible cocktails, too! If you have not tried this place, you really need to. My husband and I are foodies who love trying new, high-end restaurants everywhere we go, but now we have a huge favorite right here where we live. Previously, Pier 6 was my go-to local seafood restaurant, and I still love it, but MiRu is NEXT LEVEL good. I have now been to MiRu three times, and already have plans to go again this week. Everything I have tried has been perfection. My favorite appetizer so far was actually not seafood - it was a special they had the other week - fried basil chicken. It was hot, crispy, juicy, and had the most amazing flavor. It also came with an incredible dipping sauce. I could have made a meal out of it and been so happy! We also had the rock shrimp appetizer, which was also one of the best shrimp dishes I have ever eaten. My favorite main dish so far is the curry red snapper. It is a huge dish you could easily split with someone. The snapper is so crispy and flavorful and the fragrant but light red-curry sauce compliments it beautifully. The dish also includes scallops and shrimp which were also perfectly cooked. I can talk all day about how phenomenal this place is and it won't do it justice. You, your family and friends all need to go ASAP! I want to make sure this restaurant is a huge success so we can all keep enjoying this League...
Read moreWent tonight for the first time today and really liked MiRi. For a random Wednesday night there was a good number of customers eating, we arrived around 7 and were able to get a table right away. We didn’t order any drinks but the bar was full of customers so I assume the drinks must be good. Our waitress was very nice and knew the menu well. We only ordered appetizers to eat starting with the short rib, it was very good but for a wagu rib I thought it would be more tender l, still worth it if you want to try. Next we got the garlic shrimp and man these were excellent, I could order 10 plates of these alone. We then had a couple of oysters, which I totally forgot the kind and to take a picture of, they were smallish but very fresh and tasty. Next we got the spring rolls and a bowl of lobster pumpkin soup but were delicious. The place is on the pricey side for the area but the food is very fresh and delicious. The recipes are unique and thoughtfully prepared, the staff were very nice and service was excellent. We will definitely be back to try some...
Read moreWe went to dinner here to try this fairly new restaurant. I tried looking at the menu on line and was a little concerned when they didn’t list prices. We were greeted by the hostess and taken to a table (we had a choice of table or booth) and our waiter quickly appeared. The menu seemed a bit limited and most of the meals were a La carte. It wasn’t just Japanese food as the name of the restaurant suggests.
I ordered the fish and chips and they were the best I have had in ages. I got three huge pieces of fish and a plate of crispy fries that were not greasy at all. It was delicious! My husband had chicken teriyaki which was very tasty but it didn’t come with any sides so also ordered white rice and mushrooms. Neither one of us liked the emperor mushrooms but the rest was good.
This restaurant would be a special occasion meal for us since we thought it was quite pricey and ended up spending considerably more than we usually do dining out. Service was good and food...
