O' Brian’s Ice House — Restaurant in League City

We came to O'Brians a few months ago for karaoke having walked from La Rotisserie. All our party live in the area and were trying to take advantage of the somewhat walkable access to multiple bars. When we arrived we got drinks for our group and waited our turn to do karaoke.

The karaoke setup was great and the DJ was awesome. They have a good stage and audio system. We were having a good time. However, at some point, after no incidents had occurred, the bar ceased to serve us and a person whom I assume was the manager was harassing us about how we had moved the stage chair and attempted to use the microphone without the mic stand. We ultimately left shortly thereafter and walked across the street to the Blue Dolphin, which is an awesome low key bar with a simple but affordable selection.

As a group we were very disappointed that no one approached us to explain if someone in the group had acted a certain way nor were we pointed to any clear codes of conduct in regards to the karaoke stage. We were having a great time, seemed to be the only non regulars using the karaoke stage, and were about 60% of the people in the place before we were disrespectfully indicated that we weren't welcome. We will not be returning in the future.

I'm extremely late with posting this, but better late than never. I held my 24th birthday here in December 2020, my close friend suggested it. (I had never been here before) upon arriving the managers/bartender got me balloons and had my table all decked out! How awesome! I had never even met these people before, and they went above and beyond for my special event. They also got me cupcakes!!! Best experience, and best birthday ever! Thanks to this awesome staff for showing me such kindness. That's hard to find nowadays and gave me a little hope for humanity. Would 10/10 recommend this bar. Karaoke was great, staff even better! The O'Brians Ice House is a nice little place to go and hang out for a bit. They have pool tables, dart boards, karoke and live music on the weekends...some decent quick snacks.

On this trip, I stopped by for a couple of drinks and their amazing cheese fries. As expected, the fries were great. I highly recommend them. If you try them, ask for their banana sauce to spice them up a bit. like to spice it up a bit.
